The BGARM10 and BGARM12 are compatible with the parking barrier gate operators, or PBG24DCW/G. The BGARM10, BGARM12, and BGARM14 are compatible with the commercial/community barrier gate operators, or the CBG24DCW/G. ARM ASSEMBLY 1. Locate the mounting section of the arm; this is the segment that mounts into the arm bracket. 2. Determine the handing: right-hand or left-hand operation. Determine arm installation type: breakaway, swingaway, or fixed. The mounting hardware for attaching the barrier arm to the bracket is located in the pack-in bag for the barrier gate operator. Select the proper mounting hardware based on the attachment methods outlined in the BG24DC barrier gate operator manual. 3. Place the arm bracket on the operator in the horizontal direction. If breakaway is intended to be used, ensure that the pivot point is located on the proper side of the operator. NOTE: Alternatively, one can mount the arm bracket in a full vertical position. The arm can separately be assembled fully and then applied to the bracket afterwards. 4. Note the orientation of the magnetic sensor within the arm bracket. Place the magnet in the proper orientation on the arm to result in the following relative location with respect to the magnetic sensor. See Figure 1 and Figure 2. 5. Install the first (mount) section of the arm in the correct orientation. If using a swingaway, confirm that it releases properly. Breakaway Direction Magnet WARNING To reduce the risk of INJURY or DEATH, turn both the AC Power and Battery switches to OFF position BEFORE servicing operator or installing arm. ALL electrical connections MUST be made by a qualified individual. Install the additional segments one at a time, supporting the "hanging" end of the arm. Make sure to tighten the top bolts first to remove slack. Ensure all bolts assemble before seating any. Torque all bolts to 7ft-lbf, starting again with the top. See Figure 3, Figure 4, and Figure 5. Figure 3 7. If Swingaway installation type is used, ensure the arm swings freely out of the path of vehicle travel, when dislodged. WARNING: The Swingaway option requires clearance parallel to the roadway. · If the site does not allow clearance of a minimum of 7 ft from the outer edge of the operator to a pedestrian walkway parallel to the roadway, do not use the Swingaway option. Either the Breakaway or Fixed option must be used. · See the Operator Manual for complete details to ensure safe installation. · Ensure the arm is returned securely to the arm bracket before powering operator. 8. Install the end cap. See Figure 6. NOTE: If you use impact to secure the cap, ensure that you have something overlapping the entire surface to avoid breakage. Figure 4 Figure 6 9. Loosen the arm bracket on the operator output shaft. Move the arm to the vertical position and retighten the arm bracket. See Figure 7. Figure 5 NOTE: Alternatively, the arm and arm bracket can be assembled fully separate from the operator, and then assembled in the vertical orientation as in step 9. Placez l'aimant dans l'orientation appropriée sur le bras pour obtenir la position relative suivante par rapport au capteur magnétique. Voir les figures 1 et 2. 5. Installez la première section (montage) du bras dans le bon sens. Si vous utilisez une balancelle, vérifiez qu'elle se déclenche correctement. Installez les segments supplémentaires un par un, en soutenant l'extrémité « dans l'air » du bras. Veillez à serrer d'abord les boulons supérieurs pour éliminer le jeu. Assurez-vous que tous les boulons s'assemblent avant de les mettre en place. Serrez tous les boulons à 7 pi - livre-force, en commençant par le haut. Voir les figures 3, 4 et 5. Figure 3 7. Si le type d'installation utilisé est celui de la séparation, assurez-vous que le bras pivote librement hors de la trajectoire du véhicule lorsqu'il est délogé. AVERTISSEMENT : L'option de séparation nécessite un dégagement parallèle à la chaussée. · Si le site ne permet pas un dégagement d'au moins 7 pieds entre le bord extérieur de l'opérateur et une allée piétonne parallèle à la chaussée, n'utilisez pas l'option de pivotement. L'option de séparation ou fixe doit être utilisée. · Voir le manuel de l'opérateur pour plus de détails afin de garantir une installation sûre. · Assurez-vous que le bras est bien replacé dans son support avant de mettre l'opérateur sous tension. 8. Installez le capuchon d'extrémité. Voir Figure 6. REMARQUE : Si vous utilisez un dispositif à impact pour fixer le bouchon, veillez à ce qu'il y ait un chevauchement sur toute la surface afin d'éviter toute rupture. Figure 4 Figure 6 9. Desserrez le support de bras sur l'arbre de sortie de l'opérateur. Déplacez le bras en position verticale et resserrez le support du bras. Voir Figure 7. Coloque el soporte del brazo en el operador en sentido horizontal. Si se va a utilizar un basculante, asegúrese de que el punto pivotante esté situado en el lateral adecuado del operador. NOTA: De manera alternativa, se puede montar el soporte del brazo en posición totalmente vertical. El brazo puede montarse completamente por separado y aplicarse después al soporte. 4. Tenga en cuenta que la orientación del sensor magnético dentro del soporte del brazo. Coloque el imán en la orientación adecuada en el brazo para obtener la siguiente ubicación relativa con respecto al sensor magnético. Consulte la Figura 1 y la Figura 2. 5.
