Important Safety Instructions
General Warnings
- Read instruction manual and charger manual carefully before use.
- Clean only with a dry cloth.
- Do not block ventilation openings. Install according to manufacturer's instructions.
- Do not install near heat sources like radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other heat-producing apparatus.
- Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
- Unplug during thunderstorms or when unused for long periods.
- Recharge battery-operated radios only with the specified charger. Using a charger suitable for one battery type with another may create a fire risk.
- Use battery-operated radios only with specifically designated battery packs. Use of other batteries may create a fire risk.
- Keep battery packs away from metal objects (paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws) when not in use to prevent short-circuiting, which can cause sparks, burns, or fire.
- Avoid body contact with grounded surfaces (pipes, radiators, ranges, refrigerators) to reduce electric shock risk.
Caution:
- Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.
- Batteries shall not be exposed to excessive heat (sunshine, fire, etc.).
- Excessive sound pressure from earphones/headphones can cause hearing loss.
Important Safety Instructions for Battery Cartridge
- Read all instructions and cautionary markings on the charger, battery, and product before use.
- Do not disassemble the battery cartridge.
- Stop operating immediately if operating time becomes excessively shorter to prevent overheating, burns, or explosion.
- If electrolyte gets into eyes, rinse with clear water and seek medical attention immediately.
- Do not short the battery cartridge: avoid touching terminals with conductive material, storing with other metal objects, or exposing to water/rain. Short circuits can cause high current, overheating, burns, or breakdown.
- Do not store the tool and battery cartridge where temperatures may reach or exceed 50 °C (122 °F).
- Do not incinerate the battery cartridge, even if damaged or worn out, as it can explode in fire.
- Be careful not to drop or strike the battery.
- Do not use a damaged battery.
- Follow local regulations for battery disposal.
Tips for Maintaining Maximum Battery Life
- Charge the battery cartridge before it is completely discharged. Stop operation and charge when tool power decreases.
- Never recharge a fully charged battery cartridge; overcharging shortens service life.
- Charge the battery cartridge at room temperature (10 °C - 40 °C / 50 °F - 104 °F). Let a hot battery cartridge cool down before charging.

Functional Description
Installing or Removing Battery Cartridge
Caution: Always switch off the radio before installing or removing the battery cartridge. Hold the radio and battery cartridge firmly. Failure to do so may cause them to slip, resulting in damage or personal injury.
To remove the battery cartridge (19), slide the button (20) on the front of the cartridge and pull the cartridge out.
To install, align the tongue on the battery cartridge with the groove in the housing and slide it into place until it locks with a click. If the red indicator (21) on the button is visible, the cartridge is not fully locked.
Caution: Always install the battery cartridge fully until the red indicator is not visible. Otherwise, it may accidentally fall out, causing injury.
Caution: Do not force the battery cartridge. If it does not slide in easily, it is not being inserted correctly.
Hook
The hook (22) is convenient for temporarily hanging the radio.
