Webasto ThermoCall TC4 Quick Start Guide

This guide provides essential information for operating the Webasto ThermoCall TC4 system.

Operation

The ThermoCall TC4 allows you to switch your parking heater on and off remotely using SMS, a phone call, or the ThermoCall app. Ensure the indicator lamp on the button is illuminated before operation. If not, contact a Webasto service partner. Refer to the general operating instructions for your Webasto parking heater and the installation instructions on the enclosed CD before initial startup.

Important Considerations:

When setting up the connection, consider your vehicle's location.
In heating mode, set the vehicle heating system to "warm" before leaving the vehicle.
For heating and ventilation mode: set a 3-speed vehicle fan to speed 1, a 4-speed fan to speed 2, or adjust infinitely variable fans to at least 1/3 capacity.
To prevent battery discharge, it is recommended to set the heating time in accordance with the subsequent driving time. A 30-minute driving time suggests a 30-minute heating time.

The GSM module is factory-set to a 30-minute heating time, which can be adjusted between 5 and 120 minutes, or set for continuous heating.

Operation with the ThermoCall App

Compatible with Android, iOS, and Windows Phone smartphones.

App Setup:

Scan the provided QR code to download and install the ThermoCall app.
Alternatively, search for "ThermoCall" in the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or Windows Phone Store and install the app.

Operation via SMS

Send SMS commands to the SIM card's call number in the ThermoCall TC4 to activate or deactivate functions.

`START0700`	Activates the respective operating mode at a specified time (e.g., 7:00 AM the following morning).		✔
`HTMLEVEL:X`	Selects comfort level (X=1 to 5). The heating time management system calculates heating and switch-on times based on interior temperature and comfort level. Setting X=0 deactivates HTM.		✔

Operating with a Phone Call

Call the SIM card number installed in the ThermoCall TC4. Ensure your calling number is stored in the ThermoCall TC4 beforehand (via SMS or app, see 1234ACCLIM:XXXXXXX).

Heater Off: The ThermoCall TC4 acknowledges the call with a tone. After disconnection, the parking heating or ventilation starts for the set period (factory default: 30 minutes). The indicator lamp lights up.
Heater On: The ThermoCall TC4 acknowledges the call with 2 tones. The respective operating mode ends. The indicator lamp switches to standby mode.
Unauthorized Call: If called from an unsaved number, the connection ends without feedback, and the heater's operating mode remains unchanged.

Operating with Push Button

The heater can be switched on or off manually using the push button. Pressing the button while the heater is operating will end the current mode.

Indicator Lamp Statuses:

Flashing 1x every 2 seconds: ThermoCall TC4 is ready for operation.
Flashing 1x per second: 24h pre-programming is active.
Steady light: Parking heater or ventilation has been activated.
Steady light, parking heater does not execute: Potential problem with the parking heater. Contact your Webasto service partner.

The indicator lamp also shows whether heating or ventilation is active and the remaining running time. It can also transmit the current temperature from the GSM module or cab (with an external sensor).

Genuine Parts: Only use genuine Webasto parts.
Safety: Do not operate the heater in closed rooms due to poisoning and suffocation risks. Always switch off the heater before refueling.

Directives and Type Approval:

Statutory regulations governing installation must be followed.
Type-approval number for ThermoCall TC4 (receiver): Es) 10R-04239.
Failure to follow installation instructions will invalidate the type approval for the control element and the general homologation of the vehicle.
CE marking indicates compliance.
