Please read all safety instructions before using your TV. WARNING Never place a television set in an unstable location. A television set may fall, causing serious personal injury or death. Many injuries, particularly to children, can be avoided by taking simple precautions such as: · Using cabinets or stands recommended by the manufacturer of the television set. · Only using furniture that can safely support the television set. · Ensuring the television set is not overhanging the edge of the supporting furniture. · Not placing the television set on tall furniture (for example, cupboards or bookcases) without anchoring both the furniture and the television set to a suitable support. · Not placing the television set on cloth or other materials that may be located between the television set and supporting furniture. · Educating children about the dangers of climbing on furniture to reach the television set or its controls. If your existing television set is being retained and relocated, the same considerations as above should be applied. · To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this apparatus to rain or moisture. · The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing, and no objects filled with liquids, (for example, vases), shall be placed on the apparatus. · When discarding used batteries, always be mindful of the environment. Ensure you follow any guidelines for recycling and safe disposal of batteries that apply in your local area. Don't throw used batteries in rubbish bin. · When installing your TV, maintain a distance of at least 10 cm between the TV and other objects (walls, cabinet sides, etc.) to ensure proper ventilation. Failing to maintain proper ventilation may result in a fire or a problem with the product caused by an increase in its internal temperature. · The openings/slots on the back of the apparatus have been provided for necessary ventilation. Ventilation should not be impeded by blocking these openings in any way (for example, newspapers, table-cloths, curtains, etc.) · No naked flame sources, such as lit candles, should be placed on the apparatus. To prevent the spread of fire, keep candles or other open flames away from this product at all times. · The device may malfunction when under electrostatic discharge. Usually paired with stereo audio inputs (red and white cables), the single-wire composite cable provides video signal. Three cables ("Y," "Pb" and "Pr") provide a higher quality connection than the singlewire composite cable ("Y") commonly used to hook up earlier AV equipment. Connect an HDMI cable between the HDMI port on the TV and the HDMI port on the DVD player/Set-Top Box. Ports marked `ARC' also support Audio Return Channel. USB storage devices can be inserted to record and pause live TV in PVR mode, or to watch media files stored on device in media mode. VGA Connect to a desktop or laptop computer. ANT LAN Digital audio out (optical) Digital audio out (coaxial) 3.5mm audio out For free-to-air TV, use an antenna cable (not supplied) to connect to a working antenna, either via an antenna wall socket, or directly. For a wired internet connection via a broadband modem or router, connect an Ethernet cable to the LAN port. Audio out for digital audio devices. Port and cable may look di erent depending on an optical or coaxial input. Please use the cable appropriate for your device. Line audio out port for use with headphones, amplifier, soundbar or any other audio device via an AUX cable (not supplied). This is a general guide to inputs and ports, your TV may not feature all of the above. 5 ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION BEFORE YOU GET STARTED Spread cushioning flat to lay the TV on. This will help to prevent damage. 1. Stand assembly a. Attach stands to base of TV b. Insert two 20mm screws for each stand and use Phillips head screwdriver (not supplied) to tighten. 1a 1b 2. Connect to antenna a. Connect an antenna cable (not supplied) via the `ANT' input port at the back of the TV. b. Ensure the antenna cable is also connected to a working antenna, either via an antenna wall socket in your home, or directly. Insert two 1.5V AAA size batteries, making sure to match the polarity markings (+ / -) of the batteries with the diagram inside the compartment. c. Replace battery compartment cover. 5. Using remote control without bluetooth Your Android TV remote control has bluetooth capability, but until this is paired with your TV, you will need to ensure the distance between the remote control and the TV is no greater than 8 metres, at an angle of no more that 30 degrees on either side (4a). 4a Point the remote towards the sensor at the front of 5c TV on TURNING TV OFF Press the POWER ( ) button on the remote control to enter standby mode. 5b To power down the TV completely, unplug the power cord from the power outlet. Ensure you have an antenna cable connected to the `ANT' input port at the back of the TV (6a) The auto tuning function will search for and save all available free-to-air TV channels. confirming your settings (the default will be set for Australia), the process will automatically begin. The number of searched channels will be displayed on the screen. 9 BASIC OPERATION Selecting channels There are two ways to select channel: 1. Using number buttons followed by the OK button on the remote control to select channel directly. To select channel 5, press: 5. To select channel 21, press: 2 1 in quick succession. When using the number buttons, you can directly select channels that were either not saved during the auto tuning, or manually erased. 2. Using +CH- buttons on the remote control or on your TV to select channel. When you press the +CH- buttons, the TV changes channels in sequence. You will see all the channels that the TV has saved, but will not see channels that were either not saved, or manually erased. Volume adjustment and mute setup Press +VOL- buttons on the remote control or the TV to adjust the volume of the TV. · To increase the volume, press VOL+ button · To decrease the volume, press VOL- button Press the Mute appear in the lower-right corner of the screen. We assume no liability for any loss of data due to malfunction or misuse. · USB device should have capacity at least 512MB. · USB device must support USB 2.0 high-speed specification. · Use only USB storage devices formatted to FAT32. · You cannot change channels while recording. · If the signal is interrupted while recording, the recording will stop until signal is regained. · · The U disk will be formatted when in format, please do not store important files in the U disk. · Press " "button for the first time to start recording,for the second time,the sign of recorder will be slimmed sown,but it's still under recording. ENTER Confirm / Play / Pause / Navigation / Skip backward & forward, Hold to skip to start & end / Navigation Play/ Pause Stop Record Skip to start Skip to end Skip backward Skip forward Recording There are two types of recording: Instant Recording and Schedule Recording. Instant recording can record current TV programmes, while schedule recording can be set to record TV programmes automatically on the day, time, and duration you choose. Instant recording " Select the channel you want, then press the Record button on the remote control to start recording. You will be prompted to confirm press OK to begin recording. To hide the information bar at the bottom of the screen, press the Record button once more. To stop the recording, press Stop and then OK to confirm when prompted. Schedule recording Select the Schedule List from the Record menu. Use the navigation buttons to select the desired programme, and press the Red colour button to schedule a programme for recording. You can schedule several items to record. Press the Yellow colour button to view the list of currently scheduled must be at least a one-minute time gap to set up between two schedules. Recordings saved in PVR mode will also be playable. Observe the corresponding notes for the respective disc. Using discs Handling When inserting or removing a disc, do not touch the surface Cleaning Fingerprints and other contaminations can reduce the for cleaning that can be moistened with a neutral, diluted cleaning agent if the disc is very contaminated. Do not wipe in circular motion (risk of static noises); instead, always wipe from the centre of the disc toward the outer edge (see illstration). Note on storage Do not expose the discs to direct sunlight or high temperatures. CAREFULLY READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE TURNING ON THE DVD PLAYER FOR THE FIRST TIME. Playback operation Getting started 1 Connect the device to a mains socket using the power supply unit that is delivered with the device. 2 Push the POWER key on the right side of the TV SET. 3 Switch to DVD Mode and insert a DVD with the Label facing backwards. TheDVD player automatically starts with the playback. NOTE: An inserted DVD can only be ejected in DVD Mode. The Eject key has no function in other modes. Please pay attention to insert the DVD in the right way, the label should show to the backside! Operating the device and general buttons Depending on the situation, you can use the buttons on the device or remote control to operate the device. However, the remote control enables greater usage of the device functions. ASPECT button:The aspect ration toggles between 16:9 and 4:3. ZOOM button:(remote control):For DVDs the image size is successively changed to the following values compared to the normal size:2x.3x. 4xThis function is not available for CDs. A-B button:(remote control):Enables you to repeat playback of the section between points A and B multiple times while a disc is playing.Press this button once to set point A.Press the button a second time to set point B and start the looped playback. When you press this button during looped playback, you exitthe loop mode. This function is not available for JPEG discs. 16 DVD MANUAL(cont'd) DVD playback Start playback:Insert a disc. The DVD player automatically starts with the playback. In the initial menu, select the desired option using the / / / buttons.Then press OK on the remote controlor ENT on the DVD player. PLAY/PAUSE :Press this button once (during playback) to pause playback. Press this button a second time to resume playback. STOP :Press this button once (during playback) to stop playback; to resume from the same position, press PLAY Press this button a second time to end playing back the disc altogether. Continue at the start of the disc using . MENU:Press this button once (during playback) to display the menu on the screen. Press this button a second time to resume playback.In menu mode, select the desired option using the / / / buttons (0-9 and +10 on the remote control). Then pressENT or OK. Press this button once to jump to the beginning of the currenttrack or chapter. Press this button a second time to jump to the beginning of the previous track or chapter. To jump to the beginning of the next track or chapter. :Press this button once to fast forward.Pressing this button repeatedly will increase the forward speed successively to2x. 4x. 8x. 16x. 32x. INTRO:Press this buttion once to display detailed information about the disc in the player. (Pressing this button repeatedly). AUDIO:During playback the available audio streams are enabled successively (DVDs can contain up to eight audio streams; e.g, for multiple languages). SUBTITLE:During playback, allows you to select a language for subtitlesor to turn subtitles GOTO: Enables you to select a position (time, track or tite) at whichto start playback. Use the / buttons to select the desired option. Use the 0-9 and +10 number keys to enter the time directly and then confirm using OK or ENT. Press the GOTO button again to resume normal playback. ANGLE:Pressing this button cycles through the camera perspectives available for the particular scene.(This function is only available for DVDs that contain recordings of multiple camera perspectives) TITLE: that contain multiple menus.If you press the TITLE button during playback, the title menu is displayed. Using the / / / buttons or the numerical buttons (0-9) and +10 on the remote control, you can select the desired title or the desired option. Confim with OK or ENT. By pressing this button repeatedly, you call up the following settings: SUBTITLE 1/N: Subtitle 1 is displayed. SUBTITLE 2N; Subtitle 2 is displayed. SUBTITLE *N: Subtide * is displayed.
