Chapter 1 Safety Instructions
Always follow these safety instructions when setting up and using the product:
1 Operation
- 1.1 Use the product in the recommended operating environment, away from water or sources of heat.
- 1.2 Do not place the product on a tilted or unstable surface.
- 1.3 Please ensure the power plug is dust-free prior to usage. Do not insert the product's power plug into a multiplug to prevent sparks or fire.
- 1.4 Do not block the case's slots and openings. They provide ventilation and prevent the product from overheating.
- 1.5 Do not open or remove covers. Doing so may expose you to dangerous voltages and other hazards. Refer all servicing to licensed service personnel.
- 1.6 Unplug the product from the wall outlet and refer servicing to licensed service personnel when the following situations happen:
- If the power cords are damaged or frayed.
- If liquid is spilled on the product or the product has been exposed to rain or water.
2 Storage
- 2.1 Do not place the product where the cord can be stepped on as this may result in fraying or damage to the lead or the plug.
- 2.2 Unplug this product during thunderstorms or if the product is going to be unused for an extended period.
- 2.3 Do not place this product or accessories on vibrating equipment or hot surfaces.
3 Cleaning
- 3.1 Disconnect all cables prior to cleaning. Clean the surface with a dry cloth. Do not use alcohol or volatile solvents for cleaning.
4 Batteries (for products with batteries)
- 4.1 When replacing batteries, please only use the same type of batteries.
- 4.2 When disposing of batteries or products, please adhere to the relevant instructions in your country or region.
- 4.3 Warning
- The following situations must be avoided:
- Using the wrong type of battery may compromise the security of the device.
- Over-heating or damaging batteries may cause explosions or leakage of flammable liquids or gases.
- Placing the battery in a high-temperature environment may cause an explosion or leakage of flammable liquids or gases.

Chapter 3 Product Appearance and Connections
3.1 Product Appearance
Front panel:
- 1 Power: Button to turn the device On/Off.
- 2 USB3.0 Port: For connecting keyboard/mouse/USB flash drive/USB camera.
- 3 LCM Screen: Displays PGM screen / LCM menu / message prompts.
- 4 Knob: Used for adjusting parameters and navigating menus (rotation) or performing a "confirm" action (press).
- 5 Record: Button to start/stop recording.
- 6 Pause: Button to start/pause recording.
- 7 Stream: Button to start/stop video streaming.
- 8 Scenes: Button to switch the theme scene to the PGM screen.
- 9 Reset: Button to reset the device (long press for 3 seconds).
- 10 USB3.0 Port: Connects the computer to convert PGM audio and video into USB signal for video conferencing software. (Video/Audio source name: Lumens LC300(S) Processor).
Rear panel:
- 11 XLR Out: Balanced line output.
- 12 Line In(1): Line In audio source input.
- 13 Line Out(1): PGM audio output.
- 14 XLR In: Balanced line input.
- 15 3G-SDI: 3G-SDI signal source input.
- 16 HDMI In (4 CH): HDMI signal source input; HDMI 1 supports 4K resolution.
- 17 HDMI Loop Through: Output HDMI 1 video screen.
- 18 RS-232 Port: IN: Control the device through RS-232. OUT: Control the camera through RS-232.
- 19 LAN: Connect to your Local Area Network.
- 20 WAN: Connect to WAN.
- 21 HDMI 1 Multiview: User interface output, displays the settings menu and video management.
- 22 HDMI 2 Program: Main screen output, displays the recording or streaming screen and applied layout.
- 23 USB 2.0 Port: To connect keyboard/mouse/USB flash drive/USB camera/LC-RC01 remote control panel.
- 24 USB 3.0 Port: (Same as port 10).
- 25 Line In(2): Line In audio source input.
- 26 Line Out(2): Multiview audio output.
- 27 DC IN 19V: DC 19V power connector.
- 28 12G-SDI In/Loop-through: 12G-SDI signal source input/output. Note: 12G-SDI is only applicable to LC300S.

Chapter 4 Function Description
4.1 Real-Time Operation Menu
Connect a monitor to the HDMI Multiview port to view the real-time operation menu. Connect a keyboard/mouse to the USB port to navigate the menu.

4.2 Webpage Login Interface
The device can be accessed via a webpage. The login interface requires a User Login Account (default: admin) and User Password (default: admin). Language options include English, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese. After logging in, users can access the administrator screen.
4.3 Parameter Setting
This section covers the web-based interface. Settings are accessed via [System Settings] > [Internet] through the HDMI Multiview output.
4.3.1 System Settings
4.3.1.1 System Settings
Configure basic device information, such as date and time.
- Device Identification: Set the Hostname and Device Description. The display name accepts only English characters and numbers.
- Live: A live preview of the device's output.
- Date and Time: Set the current date and time, select the Time Zone, and configure the time synchronization mode (NTP Service or Manual Setup).
- Front panel lock: Enable to lock front panel buttons after rebooting. To disable, uncheck this option via the web interface.
- Welcome Screen: Customize a welcome image by uploading a PNG file (max size 3 MB, max resolution 1920x1080). Click [Browse] to select a file, then [Apply] to save.
4.3.1.2 Network
The factory setting is DHCP. To use a static IP address, configure the connection settings. The system will reboot after changing network settings. Please re-login.
- WAN Settings: IP Assignment (DHCP or Static IP), IP Address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway, Primary DNS Server, Secondary DNS Server.
- LAN Settings: IP Assignment (DHCP or Static IP), IP Address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway, Primary DNS Server, Secondary DNS Server.
Function Descriptions:
- DHCP: Dynamic IP address is set as default.
- Static IP: Configure a static IP address and manually enter network information. Select and fill in required network settings and click [Apply] to save.
Note: The system will restart after changing network settings. Please connect and log in again.
4.3.1.3 Services
- Firmware: View firmware information and apply updates. Click [Update] and select the new firmware file. 'Advance' is for engineers to update sub-firmware.
- Service Data: Export system log files to a computer. Enter a file name (0-16 characters, no special symbols or spaces), then click [Export].
- Reset: Restores the device to factory default settings. The option to 'Keep Network Settings' can be checked.
- Restart Device: Restarts the device.
4.3.1.4 Configuration
Export device configuration files to a computer or import them to another device.
- Export: Export the current device configuration as a configuration file. Options include 'All Configuration' or 'Layout'.
- Import: Load a configuration file.
4.3.1.5 Display
Select the HDMI PGM/Multiview output resolution for the device. Options include 3840x2160, 60Hz for PGM and 1920x1080, 60Hz for Multiview.
4.3.1.6 Remote Control Panel
Displays connection information for the LC-RC01 remote control panel (optional). If there is no connection, a blank screen appears.
4.3.2 Account
Manage user accounts: Administrator, Online Director, and Video Manager. Each account has specific permissions and default credentials.
- Administrator: Username: admin, Password: admin. High-level authority for system management.
- Online Director: Username: director, Password: director. Manages playback and basic video settings.
- Video Manager: Username: video, Password: video. Manages file storage and video playback.
Note: Usernames must be 4-16 characters (no special symbols or spaces). Passwords must be 8-16 characters (no special symbols or spaces). Duplicate usernames are forbidden.
4.3.3 Source
4.3.3.1 Physical Video Source Manager
Manage video inputs. Lists Video Input 1-4, typically mapped to HDMI inputs. Notes that 3G-SDI uses Video Input 4, and 12G-SDI (LC300S) uses Video Input 1. Allows editing of HDMI signal source name and resolution.
4.3.3.2 USB Video Source
Add USB video sources by clicking [+Add], selecting the device, and applying. Ensure the USB device is connected to a USB Type A port.
4.3.3.3 Network Source Manager
Scan for network cameras on the LAN by clicking [Refresh]. Add network cameras by clicking [Login Verification]/[Add] and entering login information. The status displays "OK" when the device can be used as a signal source. Lumens Network Camera login details are provided (Camera Account: admin, Password: 9999).
4.3.3.4 Video Channel Manager
Edit and arrange online video sources for different channels. Drag sources to desired channels to change their order.
4.3.4 Audio Source Manager
Search for USB audio devices connected to the LC300 by clicking [Refresh].
4.3.5 Audio Detect Settings
Configure PGM Audio Warning Settings. Options include Trigger Time (when the alert is activated), Sound Level Setting (volume threshold from 1 to 6), and Timer Setting (duration the volume must remain low before triggering an alert).
4.3.6 Video
Administrators can record a single PGM screen or up to 4 video inputs. Each recording can have individual encoding settings.
4.3.6.1 Encoder Manager
Add Encoder Profiles to configure compression format, resolution, bit rate, and audio sampling frequency settings.
4.3.6.2 Record Manager
Configure video/audio sources and encoders. Maximum recording time is 12 hours. Resolution settings affect split-screen support: 4K 50/60fps supports 1 PGM channel, while 1080p 50/60fps supports 5 channels (1 PGM + 4 input channels).
4.3.6.3 Stream Manager
Add stream settings for streaming protocols and server recommendations. Supports RTSP and YouTube streaming.
4.3.7 Scene
4.3.7.1 Scene
Provides overlay styles, background images, and scenes. Users can add their own styles. Scenes combine Overlay, Background Image, and Production Layout. Up to 30 scenes can be customized. PNG format is supported for overlays (various resolutions) and backgrounds (1920x1080).
4.3.7.2 Macro
Configure Macro settings for scene selection and camera preset positions (up to 9 presets). Macros can store network camera settings for assigned channels.
4.3.7.3 Time Stamp
Enable/disable timestamp, set format (YYYY-MM-DD hh:mm:ss), color, size (1-10), and position (X/Y coordinates 0-100). When Time Stamp is enabled, other overlays cannot be applied.
4.3.8 Intelligent Director
(For Lumens camera VC-TR40,AT version only. Refer to VC-TR40 user manual for more details.)
Configure Intelligent Director settings: On/Off, Trigger Timing, Template (Presenter/Audience camera count), Target Lost Action, Presenter Camera Settings, Audience Camera Settings, and Priority. Settings on the VC-TR40,AT webpage are required to link with the LC300.
4.3.9 Storage
Set up primary storage, backup/NAS storage, and view hard drive information.
- Record Disk Settings: Select local storage (FAT, FAT32, NTFS, ext3, ext4, exFAT supported).
- Disk Information: Displays hard drive capacity, free space, and allows formatting.
- NAS Settings: Enable NAS mounting. Configure Mount, Protocol (NFS), Address, Port, Folder, Username, Password, and Options. Upload settings can be configured via Backup Setting > Upload Setting > Mode.
4.3.10 Schedule
Configure scheduling for device operations.
- Schedule Settings: Enable/disable scheduling, check status, or reset the schedule source. Supports scheduling via Panopto, Opencast, Kaltura, iLearning Calendar, or manual iCalendar import (.ics format).
- Stand by and Wake up: Enable/disable scheduled standby and wake-up functions, and set times.
4.3.11 Backup
Configure auto backup to upload videos to designated storage. Set upload destination and test the connection.
- Backup Settings: Auto upload options (Disable, After recording, Periodically). Modes include FTP, SFTP, NAS, USB Storage, Panopto, Kaltura, Opencast, WebDAV. NAS mounting is enabled via Storage Settings > NAS Setting. A 'Connection Test' verifies current settings.
4.3.12 About
Displays device information: Manufacturer (Lumens Digital Optics Inc.), Model (LC300S), Master Firmware Version (LCB107), Serial Number (VDBA00016), WAN MAC, LAN MAC, Webpage (www.MyLumens.com), and Support link (service.lumens.com.tw). Includes HEVC Advance™ logo.
4.4 Online Director
The LC300 and LC300S feature a built-in Online Director for monitoring recordings and output video. Three login methods are available: selecting from the HDMI Multiview real-time operation menu, logging into the web interface and selecting the Online Director icon, or logging in directly with the Online Director account (default: Account: director, Password: director).

4.4.2 Video
Preview Channel 1-4 signal sources. Select the required output signal source. Refer to 4.3.3.4 for adding video sources.
4.4.3 Audio
Configure audio settings including delay, source selection, volume control, mute/unmute, +48V phantom power, PGM Level, and Audio Out Level.
- Set Delay Time: Adjust audio delay for inputs.
- Audio Source: Select an audio source.
- Audio Volume: Displays current audio volume.
- Volume Control: Adjust the volume of each audio input.
- Mute/ Unmute: Mute/unmute audio output.
- +48V phantom Power: Turn on/off the +48V phantom power.
- PGM Level: Master volume control for PGM recording/streaming.
- Audio Out Level: Set PGM HDMI volume or Multiview HDMI volume. Line Out (2) volume synchronizes with Multiview HDMI. Line Out (1) & XLR sets volume for Line Out (1) & XLR. This field adjusts volume but does not affect recording/streaming volume.
4.4.3 Scenes Layout Setting

4.4.4 Camera Control
Control Lumens IP cameras. Functions include selecting a camera, storing/recalling presets, directional control (using arrow buttons), zoom in/out, focus (auto/manual), tracking (on/off, for Lumens tracking cameras), and PTZ speed adjustment.
4.5 File Management
Manage files via the interface: upload, download, delete, replay video files, and edit recording information.
4.5.1 Multiview Output Interface
The file management interface allows previewing, playing, switching screens, searching recordings, changing display modes, viewing folders, and managing files (delete, backup, copy to USB).

4.5.2 Webpage Interface
Access the video management page by clicking the video management icon on the top-right corner of the system settings page. The interface allows Video Management, Photo Management, Configuration, Online Director access, Logout, File Management, Hard Drive Status display, and Video File Display.
File Management Description
- Uploading: Check thumbnails to upload videos. Upload status icons indicate success, failure, queued, or uploading.
- Downloading: Check thumbnails to download videos as MP4 files and datasets.
- Delete: Select thumbnails to permanently delete files.
- Video Playback: Right-click a video to preview, edit content data, and download the video file and dataset.
