Major Functions
-
Find with Apple Find My: Using the Apple Find My app, you can locate your weTag from your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac. Simply open the Find My app, select the item, and view its location on the map.
-
Lost Mode: If your weTag is left far away, you can enable Lost Mode to lock its location. The widely used Apple device network helps you find it.
-
Proximity Alerts: If your weTag item finder leaves the range of your Apple device, you will receive an alarm notification. This helps you discover lost items promptly and prevent further losses.
Turn On/Off & Reset
-
Turn On: Click the button once. The item finder will make a "Di Di Di Di Di" sound.
-
Turn Off: Press and hold the button of the weTag item finder for 5 seconds. It will play a confirmation sound "Di Di".
-
Reset: Click the button 5 times in a row. On the 5th click, press and hold the button for at least 3 seconds. A "Di Dididididi" beep will be played. Release the button after hearing the sound effect. This operation must be completed within 5 seconds.
Battery Replacement
The weTag item finder uses a built-in CR2032 cell battery, which typically lasts for 1 year. Battery replacement is straightforward: open the back cover along the gap, and replace it with a new CR2032 cell battery.
How to Connect
Follow these steps to connect your weTag to your Apple device:
-
Turn on the weTag: Press the button once. You will hear a "Di Di Di Di Di" sound.
-
Open the "Find My" App: Locate and open the "Find My" application on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
-
Add Item: Within the "Find My" app, tap on the "Items" tab and then select "Add Item".
-
Select Other Supported Item: Choose the option for "Other Supported Item" to add a non-AirTag item.
-
Connect the weTag: Bring your weTag close to your Apple device. The app should detect it. Tap to connect.
-
Finish: Once connected, you can name your weTag and complete the setup.
Notes for Connection:
- This feature is exclusively for Apple devices (e.g., iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac).
- Ensure your iPhone's Bluetooth function is turned on and you have an active internet connection.
- You must be logged into your iCloud account. In "Settings" > "Apple ID", enable "Share My Location" within the Apple Find My app settings.
- The "Find Items" app on Apple Watch requires the latest version of watchOS.
Connecting to Other Devices:
The weTag item finder can only be connected to one device at a time. To connect it to a different device, you must first remove it from the current device's Apple Find My app. If you encounter connection issues, try resetting the weTag.
Privacy Data Protection
-
Personal Location Information Protection: The Apple Find My network uses advanced encryption to ensure that no one else, not even Apple or Shenzhen Winnershine Electronics Co., Ltd, can view the location of your weTag.
-
Prevent Anonymous Tracking: To prevent malicious tracking, if someone else's item finder is mixed with your belongings and tracked for a period, you will be notified. If you have an Apple device (iPhone, iPad, etc. running iOS 14.5/iPadOS 14.5 or later), you will receive reminders on your device. If you do not have Apple devices, a moving item finder will emit a beep to alert you. If a friend is carrying a weTag or many people are using similar devices in public transport, don't worry, as the warning will only trigger if the item finder separates from its owner.
