Overview

The DGS-1530 Series are Layer 2 Stackable Smart Switches offering Gigabit speeds for Metro Ethernet and campus networks. They feature 10/100/1000BASE-T RJ-45 ports, 1G SFP ports, and 10G SFP+ ports for enhanced network bandwidth. With surge protection, advanced Layer 2 functions, and comprehensive security and management tools, the DGS-1530 Series is ideal for demanding network environments.

The DGS-1530-52P has a 370W PoE budget, expandable to 740W with a redundant power supply, and utilizes LLDP for optimized power distribution.

Efficient and Resilient Networking

The DGS-1530 Series offers 6 kV surge protection on all Ethernet RJ-45 ports, safeguarding against power surges. It supports ITU-T G.8032 Ethernet Ring Protection Switching (ERPS) for 50-millisecond failover, minimizing service disruption. Link Aggregation (IEEE 802.1AX and 802.3ad) allows port grouping for redundancy and load balancing in critical environments.

High Availability and Flexibility

Multiple switches can be combined into a single physical or virtual stack, enhancing redundancy, simplifying management, and providing a single IP address for the stack. Up to 9 switches can be stacked, offering up to 432 Gigabit Ethernet ports and scalable switching capacity.

Quality of Service (QoS)

The DGS-1530 Series implements multilayer QoS/CoS features to prioritize critical network services like VoIP, video conferencing, IPTV, and IP surveillance. Flexible packet classification and traffic shaping ensure bandwidth for these services, allowing IT managers to optimize network resource allocation.

Manageability

D-Link Single IP Management (SIM) simplifies management by allowing configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of multiple switches via a web browser. Virtual stacking enables management of physically separate switches under a single IP address. Management tools include Web UI, SSH, Telnet, console, and support for SNMP, RMON, and TLS protocols.

Identity-Driven Network Policies

The series supports 802.1X port-based Access Control, Web-based Access Control (WAC), and MAC-based Access Control (MAC) for strict resource access. Post-authentication policies like VLAN membership, QoS, and ACL rules can be assigned to hosts. Microsoft NAP support protects network assets from compromised computers.
