Product Overview and Components

The Wyze Cam Outdoor v2 features a compact design with various components for functionality and mounting.

Camera Views

Front View

The front of the camera includes: 1. Light Sensor, 2. Lens, 3. Microphone.

Back View

The back of the camera includes: 5. On/Off Switch, USB Charging Port, 6. Status Light.

Bottom View

The bottom of the camera includes: 7. SYNC Button, 8. MicroSD Slot (MicroSD card not included), 9. Mounting Holes. It also features a Removable Magnetic Mounting Base.

Setup

Download the App

Download the Wyze app and sign in or create an account.

Available on the App Store and Google Play.

Initial Setup

Open the Wyze app and tap the ➕ sign in the top left corner of the Home tab. Follow the in-app instructions to set up the camera.

Mounting

Follow the instructions within the app to mount the camera.

Wall Mount Instructions

1. Use the provided screws and anchors to attach the mounting bracket to the wall. 2. Align the camera with the bracket and secure it. 3. Adjust the camera angle as needed.

Ceiling Mount Instructions

1. Attach the mounting bracket to the ceiling using screws. 2. Connect the camera to the bracket. 3. Secure the camera. 4. Adjust the camera angle.

Status Light Guide

  • Solid yellow light: The device is powered on and initializing.
  • Flashing yellow and blue lights: The device is pairing with the base station.
  • Flashing blue light: The device is connecting to the network.
  • Solid blue light: The device is working properly.
  • Flashing red light: The device is charging.
  • Solid red light: The device is fully charged.
  • No indicator light: The device is powered off or asleep.

Precautions

  • Prolonged direct sunlight can heat the inside of your camera past its maximum operating temperature of 122°F (50°C). Avoid direct sunlight where possible and only use your camera in environments within its operating temperature range: -4° to 122°F (-20° to 50°C).
  • To charge your camera, plug the included micro USB cable into the USB port on your base station and connect it to your camera. Or use a power adapter and cable that will provide 5V/2A power.
