Product Overview

The ASD LED Color Changing Back-Lit Flat Panels offer versatile lighting solutions with CCT (Correlated Color Temperature) tunability. Users can select between 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, or 5000K color temperatures using wireless handheld or wall-mounted remotes. These remotes can control multiple panels simultaneously and save preferred settings. The panels are available in 2x2 or 2x4 sizes and feature a non-yellowing PC diffuser, an anti-corrosion aluminum frame, and 0-10V dimmable drivers operating at 120-277V for high performance.

Installation is designed for convenience, with recessed mounting suitable for standard drop-in ceilings. Panels can also be suspended using aircraft cable or wire (not included) attached to integrated clips. Clips can be folded over T-grids for secure locking. A low-profile frame for surface mounting is sold separately. Remote controls for color temperature adjustment are sold separately. Refer to installation instructions for detailed steps.

Applications include commercial, industrial, and residential spaces such as offices, hospitals, schools, retail, and workshops. The fixture is rated for damp locations and can operate in temperatures ranging from 14°F to 104°F (-10°C to +40°C).

Important Safety Information

Please read all instructions before installation. Ensure supply voltage matches rated product voltage. Installation must be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code and local codes. Do not use if the product is damaged.

Electrical Schematic Diagram

Installation Steps

Recessed Mount

1. Lift all mounting clips along the edges of the panel and turn the mounting clip head.
2. Connect wires of the same color (L, N, and Ground) using wire connectors.
3. Adjust the panel into place, ensuring the clips are fastened to the ceiling's T-BAR/T-GRID.

Recessed Sheetrock Mount

Requires ASD-FDW-ELP22 or ASD-FDW-ELP24 (sold separately).

1. Assemble the frame by sliding part B into the inboard side of parts C and A as shown in the diagram.
2. Place the assembled frame into a ceiling opening and add steel wires for support. After wiring the fixture, carefully slide it through the ceiling opening, rotate, and drop the fixture into place.
3. Note: For best results, attach supporting steel wires to the sides of the frame after assembly. End rails can be used as intermediate rails for tandem rows.

Surface Mount

Requires ASD-FELP22-L or ASD-FELP24-L (sold separately).

1. Connect 3 pieces of the frame to the ceiling using four screws.
2. Connect the panel wires as shown in the electrical schematic diagram and insert the panel into the frame.
3. Attach the fourth frame piece and secure with screws. Power on to confirm installation.
4. Note: Must remove earthquake hook before installing surface mount frame.

Suspended Mount

Requires ASD-CHS4 or ASD-CHS6 (sold separately).

1. Insert wall plugs (not included) into the ceiling and secure the suspension surface fixing.
2. Lock the suspension cable to the clip. Adjust the cable length to meet height requirements and fix the cable to the ceiling.
3. Note: For 2x4 installation, use 2 pcs of Ceiling Hanging set.

Remote Control Operation

Handheld Remote Control (ASD-RC-2.4G-H)

The handheld remote controller requires a switch to operate. It cannot be used as a standalone switch.

• Pairing the Light: While holding the "ID" button, power on the panels. Panels will flash twice to indicate pairing. Multiple lights can be paired at once.
• Disconnect Remote from Panels: While holding the down arrow and the ID button, turn on the panels. Panels will flash twice to indicate disconnection.
• Group Selecting Buttons: To assign panels to a group, first pair them with the remote. Then, while lights are off, hold the desired group number button (#) and turn on the switch. Panels will turn on. Do not release the button until the panels flash once (this may take up to 3 seconds).
• Setting Default Brightness and CCT: Set the desired color temperature and brightness, then hold the "Save" button until the panels turn off. This saves the setting for future use.

Button Functions:

• Brightness: 25%, 50%, 75%, 100% buttons, plus Increase (+) and Decrease (-) brightness buttons.
• Color Temperature (CCT): 5000K, 4000K, 3500K, 3000K buttons, plus Increase and Decrease CCT buttons.

Note: When turned on, the light automatically detects a 0-10V dimmer for brightness, defaulting to 100% if no dimming signal is present. If controlled by a 0-10V dimmer, brightness adjusts to the dimmer's setting. If controlled by the remote, brightness changes relative to its current setting.

Wall-Type Remote Control (ASD-RC-2.4G-W)

The wall-type remote controller cannot be used directly as a switch; it must be used with a switch. It can copy functions from the handheld remote via a matching method.

• Saving Settings: Press the "ON" button for 6-9 seconds until the light turns off. Current brightness and CCT are automatically saved. Upon next power-on, the last saved settings will be displayed.
• Saving CCT: Turn off the light to save the current color temperature. Upon next power-on, the last saved CCT will be displayed.
• Light Code Matching: Pressing the 'ID' buttons simultaneously keeps the controller indicator on. Turn on the light and release buttons after 2 seconds to complete matching. Multiple lights can be matched together.
• Grouping: Match groups by pressing the controller button combination (e.g., Handheld '1' + 'ID' corresponds to Wall-type 'ON' + 'CCT' for Group 1).
• Copy Function: For using both handheld and wall controllers with the same light, use the copy function instead of direct matching.
• Brightness Adjustment: Press the 'CCT' button to cycle through color temperatures (3000K/3500K/4000K/5000K). The current CCT is saved after shutting down/turning off.

Note: After 10 seconds of inactivity, the controller enters standby power saving mode. Press "ON" to reactivate. The controller indicator flashes when working. Default factory settings are 100% brightness and 4000K.
