FortiGate 200F Series (FG-200F and FG-201F)

Setup Options

Set up your Fortinet device locally or connect using forticloud.com

GUI Setup

  1. Connect the MGMT1 port to your management computer via Ethernet Cable.
  2. Access the device via a web browser at https://192.168.1.99.
  3. Log in with username 'admin' and a blank password.

Note: For static IP configuration, use 192.168.1.1 with subnet mask 255.255.255.0.

CLI Setup

  1. Connect the Console Port to your management computer using a USB Console Cable (available for purchase).
  2. Configure your terminal emulator for the following settings: Speed (default): 9600, Data bits: 8, Stop bits: 1, Parity: None, Flow Control: None.
  3. Log in with username 'admin' and a blank password.

FortiGate Cloud Key Setup

  1. Go to forticloud.com and log in with your FortiCloud Credentials or Register.
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions, then click Add FortiGate.
  3. Enter the FortiGate Cloud Key located on the sticker of your device.

Mounting Options

Desktop Mount

Place the device on a flat, clean and stable surface. Ensure at least 1.5 inches (4 cm) of clearance around the device.

Rack Mount

Use the provided rack mount brackets and screws. Ensure 1.5 inches (4 cm) of clearance above and below the device for proper ventilation.

Caution: To avoid personal injury or damage to the device, it is recommended that two or more people mount the device on a rack.

Front/Rear - FG 200F Series

1 LOGO: FortiGate indicator.

2 STATUS: Green: Device is on. Off: Device is off. Green: Operating normally; BLE is off. Flashing Green: Booting up; BLE is on.

ALARM: Red: Major alarm. Amber: Minor alarm. Off: No alarms.

HA: Green: Operating in an HA cluster. Red: HA failover. Off: HA disabled.

POWER: Green: The unit is on. Red: Unit is on; only one supply working. Off: The unit is off.

3 USB (USB A): USB 3.0 server port.

4 Console (RJ45): CLI command line interface.

5 HA (RJ45): 1GE High availability port.

MGMT (RJ45): 1GE Management port, IP 192.168.1.99.

6 Ports 1 to 16 (RJ45) GE network connections: Speed: Green: Connected at 1000Mbps. Amber: Connected at 100Mbps. Off: Connected at 10Mbps or not in use. Act/Link: Green: Connected. Flashing Green: Data activity. Off: No link established.

7 Ports X1 to X2 (SFP+) 10GE network connections: Speed: Green: Connected at 10G or 1Gbps. Act/Link: Green: Connected. Flashing Green: Data activity. Off: No link established.

8 Ports X3 to X4 (SFP+) FortiLink 10Gbps auto-discovery ports: Speed: Green: Connected at 10G or 1Gbps. Act/Link: Green: Connected. Flashing Green: Data activity. Off: No link established.

9 Ports 17 to 24 (SFP) GE network connections: Speed: Green: Connected at 1Gbps. Act/Link: Green: Connected. Flashing Green: Data activity. Off: No link established.

10 Redundant Power Supplies: 100 - 240V AC, 2-1.2A, 50/60Hz.
