Introduction

This document provides setup procedures, additional information for free mount type monitors, warranty details, regulatory compliance notices, and contact addresses for the EIZO FlexScan EV4340X LCD monitor.

Please read the PRECAUTIONS, this Setup Guide, and the User's Manual carefully to familiarize yourself with safe and effective usage. Please retain this guide for future reference.

Setup Procedure

This section outlines the steps for setting up the monitor, including cable connections and stand attachment.

Models Covered: CC200SS-5A / CC200SSW-5A, PP200, UU200SS

Step 1: Connect Cables

Connect the necessary cables to the monitor. Common connections include:

• USB-C to USB-C
• DisplayPort to DisplayPort
• USB-A to USB-B

Step 2: Attach Stand (if applicable)

If you purchased the free mount type monitor, the stand is not included. Instructions for attaching the stand are provided in the separate "Assembly Instructions."

Step 3: Power On

Connect the power cable and turn on the monitor.

Step 4: Monitor Display

The monitor displays its operational screen after power-on.

Additional Information for Free Mount Type Monitor

If you purchased a monitor without a stand, the following guidelines apply for mounting.

Attachable Arms and Stands

Arms or stands must be VESA standard compliant and meet the following conditions:

• Clearance between mounting part screw holes: 200 mm x 200 mm / 100 mm x 100 mm
• Mounting part external dimensions: 240 mm x 240 mm or smaller
• Plate thickness: 2.6 mm
• Weight tolerance: Strong enough to support the weight of the monitor unit and attachments such as cables.

Installation Conditions

Possible installation directions and tilt angle ranges:

• Orientation: Can be installed in various orientations.
• Tilt angle: Between 45° upward to 45° downward.

Installing an Arm or Stand

1. Lay a soft cloth on a stable surface and place the monitor screen-face down on it.

   Attention: When lifting a 27-inch or larger monitor, use two people. Be careful not to press down on the screen or pinch your fingers.

2. Install the arm or stand on the monitor. Refer to the arm or stand's User's Manual for specific installation methods.
3. Use commercially available screws that meet the following conditions:
   • For 200 mm x 200 mm screw hole spacing: Nominal diameter M6, Length between 11.6 mm and 13.4 mm (add washer thickness if used).
   • For 100 mm x 100 mm screw hole spacing: Nominal diameter M4, Length between 9.8 mm and 12.4 mm (add washer thickness if used).

   Attention: Regularly check the tightness of the screws. Loose screws may cause the monitor to detach, leading to injury or device damage.

LIMITED WARRANTY

EIZO Corporation ("EIZO") and its authorized distributors ("Distributors") warrant to the original purchaser ("Original Purchaser") that the Product will be repaired or replaced at no charge if it malfunctions or is damaged during normal use within the Warranty Period. The Warranty Period is five (5) years from the date of purchase or 30,000 hours of usage time, whichever comes earlier.

EIZO and Distributors will cease to hold parts five (5) years after production is discontinued. Repairs will use renewal parts compliant with EIZO's QC standards. If repair is not possible, replacement with an equivalent product may be offered.

The Warranty is valid only in countries where Distributors are located and does not restrict legal rights.

Warranty Exclusions

The warranty does not cover defects caused by:

• Freight damage, modification, abuse, misuse, accident, incorrect installation, disaster, dust, faulty maintenance, or unauthorized repair.
• Incompatibility due to technical innovations or regulations.
• Deterioration of sensors.
• External equipment.
• Use under unanticipated environmental conditions.
• Deterioration of attachments (cables, manuals, etc.).
• Deterioration of consumables or accessories (batteries, remote controllers, etc.).
• Exterior deterioration or discoloration (LCD panel surface, touch panel, protect panel).
• Placement in locations with strong vibrations or shocks.
• Leaking battery liquid.
• Deterioration of display performance due to consumable parts (LCD panel, backlight) such as changes in brightness, uniformity, color, or pixel defects (including burnt pixels).
• Cooling fan deterioration or malfunction due to dust.

To obtain service, the Original Purchaser must deliver the Product, freight prepaid, to the local Distributor with proof of purchase. The warranty period for repaired/replaced products ends at the original warranty expiration.

EIZO OR DISTRIBUTORS ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE TO, OR LOSS OF, DATA OR OTHER INFORMATION STORED IN ANY MEDIA OR ANY PART OF ANY PRODUCT RETURNED FOR REPAIR.

EIZO AND DISTRIBUTORS MAKE NO FURTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR USE.

IN NO EVENT SHALL EIZO OR DISTRIBUTORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR OTHER DAMAGE WHATSOEVER (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFIT, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, LOSS OF BUSINESS INFORMATION, OR ANY OTHER PECUNIARY LOSS) ARISING OUT OF THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE PRODUCT.

Regulatory Compliance Notice

This monitor is intended for workstation use. If a non-standard stand is used, it must meet specific requirements for mechanical stability, viewing height, tilt, swivel, and stability.

Ergonomics Note

This monitor meets the ergonomic requirements of EK1-ITB2000 under specific conditions (3840x2160 resolution, digital input, 60Hz refresh rate, non-interlaced). Recommendations include avoiding blue on dark backgrounds for better readability and being mindful of sound pressure levels from headphones to prevent hearing loss.

To prevent distracting reflections from mounting arms or stands, appropriate measures should be taken when used in a workstation environment.

EIZO Inc., 5710 Warland Drive, Cypress, CA 90630, declares that the product (Trade name: EIZO, Model: FlexScan EV4340X) conforms to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received. This equipment complies with the limits for a Class B digital device, providing reasonable protection against harmful interference in residential installations. If interference occurs, users are encouraged to reorient the antenna, increase separation, connect to a different circuit, or consult a dealer/technician. Changes not expressly approved may void the user's authority to operate the equipment.

Note: Use the attached specified cable or EIZO signal cable to keep interference within Class B limits.

Canadian Notice: This Class B information technology equipment complies with Canadian ICES-003.

As an ENERGY STAR Partner, EIZO Corporation has determined that this product meets the ENERGY STAR guidelines for energy efficiency. Power consumption may increase depending on product settings and connection conditions.
