About Tivoli Audio
Tivoli Audio was started by Model Three designer Tom DeVesto with the goal of bringing simple to use, high quality audio products to the consumer at reasonable prices. His long professional association with Henry Kloss includes co-founding Cambridge SoundWorks. As the CEO and head of research and development at his former company, Tom was responsible for the development of many of the best-selling home entertainment and multi-media products on the market today. He also held senior management positions in product development for both Advent and Kloss Video.
Henry Kloss (1929-2002)
Henry Kloss began his career in audio in the early 1950’s. He co-founded Acoustic Research in 1952, where he helped develop the revolutionary AR1 acoustic suspension loudspeaker. In 1957 he co-founded KLH, introducing the Model Six loudspeaker, Model Eight FM table radio, and the Model 11 portable phonograph. He later founded Advent, producing speakers, projection televisions, and early cassette decks with Dolby B noise reduction. Kloss Video was founded in 1977. After Kloss Video, Henry co-founded Cambridge SoundWorks in 1988 with Tom DeVesto, manufacturing popular multimedia speakers. In 2000, Henry emerged from retirement to team up with DeVesto again to produce the acclaimed Model One mono table radio.

A Word About Radio Reception
For difficult FM reception:
- Attach the included FM antenna to the external FM antenna jack and set the switch to “External”.
- Consider an FM dipole antenna or amplified indoor FM antenna, placed near a window or outside wall.
- Reorienting the radio or its power cord may improve reception.
- Connecting cable television wire to the external antenna jack may provide clear local FM reception.
For AM reception:
- A wireless AM loop antenna may provide better reception.
- Reorienting or relocating the radio can improve reception. The “External” switch has no effect on AM.
Interference can be caused by buildings (concrete, steel, aluminum siding) and household appliances (electric blankets, computers, CD players). Plug the Model Three into an outlet not shared by other devices or move it away from the interfering device.
Placement
Avoid placing the Model Three inside a bookshelf or against a wall, as this can inflate bass and confine speaker output. Allow sound to reflect off a ceiling. Do not place objects over the speaker grille or obstruct the rear bass port.
The Model Three is not magnetically shielded. Keep it at least 5” away from computer monitors or televisions.
Cleaning
Never use harsh cleansers, solvents, or abrasive pads. Clean the face with a slightly damp, soft cloth. For the wood cabinet, use liquid polish. Painting or staining the cabinet will void the warranty.
Natural wood cabinets may have slight color/grain variations and may darken over time.
