Notes:
- All Somfy Smart Shading tubular motors require a motor plate (sold separately). Refer to somfypro.com.au for details.
- Zigbee 3.0 radio range is 7m (in room). In standalone, motors and Ysia control have a direct connection. A mesh network is created with a main controller (e.g., TaHoma switch).
- In a standalone setup, the Ysia remote control cannot be paired with third-party Zigbee 3.0 equipment. A TaHoma switch hub is required for this.
- Apple HomeKit compatibility is achievable with a TaHoma switch hub only.
- For standalone commissioning, ensure the motor and Ysia control are within 60cm of each other for ideal pairing.
- Do not rush the process. Observe the LEDs on the remote, motor, and jogs to validate setup.
- Allow up to 15 seconds for the process to complete before testing control.

TaHoma switch & Zigbee
TaHoma switch & mesh network set-up considerations
- TaHoma switch [1871147] requires an active, secure internet connection. It can be configured via WiFi or ethernet cable. An ethernet adaptor [9028054] is required for ethernet connection.
- All Smart Shading equipment, including Ysia remote controls, must be paired to the TaHoma switch as individual products. If an Ysia control is bound to a motor, this binding will disconnect upon pairing to the TaHoma switch. Rebind motors to Ysia controls after pairing to the hub.
- All Smart Shading motors must have their end limits set before pairing to a TaHoma switch hub.
- An active email address is required for a TaHoma® switch account, which cannot be the same as an existing Connexoon Window RTS or TaHoma switch account.
- Ensure 3rd party compatible applications are downloaded and set up on your smart device.
- TaHoma by Somfy application equipment favourites are linked to a smart phone or device.
- Have the motor and Ysia control QR code ready for all Smart Shading equipment.
- For a seamless experience, build a strong Zigbee mesh network by pairing wired AC Zigbee motors first, then Philips Hue Smart Plugs, then WireFree Zigbee motors, followed by Ysia controls.
- Somfy recommends a maximum of 6 Smart Shading WireFree motors per 1 Zigbee repeater. For the 7th motor, pair an additional repeater. Trusted repeaters include: Sonesse 40 Zigbee AC, Glydea Ultra AC with Zigbee Module, Izymo Motor or On/Off Receiver, and Philips Hue Smart Plug.
- A Philips Hue Smart Plug can be directly configured to a TaHoma switch hub without the Philips Hue app or bridge.
