Installation
Lifting and Moving the TV:
- It is recommended to move the TV in its original packaging.
- Disconnect the power cord and all cables before moving.
- Hold the top and bottom of the TV frame firmly, avoiding the screen, speaker, or grille areas.
- Use at least two people for large TVs.
- Avoid jolts, excessive vibration, and tilting the TV on its side.
- Be careful not to damage protruding buttons.
Mounting on the Table:
- Lift and tilt the TV into its upright position on a table.
- Ensure a minimum of 10 cm (4 inches) space from the wall for ventilation.
- Connect the power cord to a wall outlet.
Securing TV to the Wall:
- Insert and tighten eye-bolts or TV brackets and bolts on the back of the TV. Remove any pre-inserted bolts first.
- Mount wall brackets to the wall, matching the location of the TV's eye-bolts.
- Connect eye-bolts and wall brackets tightly with a sturdy rope or cable, keeping it parallel to the flat surface.
Mounting to the Wall:
- An optional VESA-compatible wall mount can be used. Consult your dealer.
- Attach the wall mount bracket to the rear of the TV and install it on a solid wall perpendicular to the floor.
- For other building materials, contact qualified personnel.
- We recommend using an LG brand wall mount for ease of adjustment and cable connection.
- If using a non-adjustable mount, attach cables to the TV first, then attach the TV to the mount.
- Remove the stand before wall mounting by reversing the stand attachment procedure.
- Cover the stand hole with tape to prevent dust and insects (depending on model).
- Note: Do not install on a wall if exposed to oil or oil mist, as this may damage the product and cause it to fall.
Connections
You can connect various external devices to the TV. Refer to the manual provided with each device for detailed connection information.
- HDMI: Turn off and unplug the product and external devices before connecting HDMI cables. Supported audio formats include True HD, Dolby Digital/Plus, and PCM. Using a certified HDMI cable with the HDMI logo is recommended. For optimal connection, devices should have bezels less than 10 mm thick and 18 mm wide.
- USB: Some USB hubs may not work; connect directly to the TV's USB port if a device is not detected. Use an extension cable if the USB cable or flash drive does not fit.
- IR Blaster: Control set-top boxes, Blu-ray players, soundbars, and game consoles. Connect the IR Blaster cable to the TV's IR Blaster port and use universal control settings. Secure the IR Blaster with the provided 3M tape.
- External Devices: Supported devices include Blu-ray players, HD receivers, DVD players, VCRs, audio systems, USB storage devices, PCs, and gaming devices.
- Note on PC Mode: Noise may occur due to resolution, contrast, or brightness settings. Adjust these in the [Picture] menu.
- Wired LAN: Use a CAT 7 cable for high-speed Internet transmission.
- Set-top-box: The TV may operate without a set-top-box from a multichannel video programming distributor (MVPD).
Remote RS-232C Setup: Obtain setup information from www.lg.com. Connect a USB to Serial (RS-232C) converter or an RS-232C cable to an external control device to control the product externally. Note that not all models support this connectivity, and cables are not provided.

Troubleshooting
Cannot control the TV with the remote control:
- Check for obstructions between the remote and the TV's receiver.
- Ensure tape is not covering the receiver.
- Replace batteries with new ones.
No image display and no sound:
- Check if the product is turned on.
- Verify the power cord is connected to a wall outlet.
- Test the wall outlet with another product.
The TV turns off suddenly:
- Check power control settings. Power supply may be interrupted.
- Check if the auto-off function is activated in the settings menu.
- The TV may turn off automatically after 15 minutes of inactivity if there is no signal.
Abnormal Display:
- A slight flicker when the TV feels cold is normal.
- Minute dot defects (tiny red, green, or blue spots) are normal and do not affect performance.
- Avoid touching the LCD screen or pressing on it for extended periods, as this may cause temporary distortion.
- Displaying a still image for a prolonged period may cause image sticking.
Generated Sound:
- Cracking noise: Occurs due to plastic thermal contraction/expansion from temperature and humidity changes. This is common.
- Electrical circuit humming/panel buzzing: A low-level noise from the high-speed switching circuit is normal and does not affect performance.
Cleaning Notes:
- Ensure no liquid or foreign objects enter gaps around the panel.
- Wring excess water or cleaner from the cloth.
- Do not spray water or cleaner directly onto the screen.
- Spray just enough onto a dry cloth for wiping.

Wall or Ceiling Mount Your Television:
- Contact a retailer for professional installation if unsure.
- ALWAYS use a mount recommended by the manufacturer with safety certification.
- ALWAYS follow all instructions from TV and mount manufacturers.
- Ensure the wall or ceiling is appropriate for mounting; use proper anchoring systems. Consult a professional if unsure.
- A minimum of two people is required for wall or ceiling mount installation.
Moving an Older Television:
- Take special care with older CRT/flat-panel televisions.
- NEVER place older TVs on dressers where children may climb.
- ALWAYS place older TVs on sturdy furniture appropriate for their size and weight.
- ALWAYS ensure older TVs do not hang over the furniture's edge.
