3. Installation

3.1 Components list

Upon unpacking, verify that all items are complete and intact:

NOTE: The device includes four AC plugs compatible with British, European, American, and Australian standards, along with two bolts and two expansion plugs.

3.2 On-site preparations

Ensure the following items are ready before installation:

ItemSpecificationRequirements
DC12V power linepreferred: 0.75mm² above, shielded twisted pairNot necessary, applicable only when using DC12V backup power interface.
H-NET commu. cablepreferred: 0.75mm² above, shielded twisted pairNecessary for communication with A/C; commu. distance < 1000m.
485 commu. cablepreferred: 0.75mm² above, shielded twisted pairNot necessary for communication with electric meter; commu. distance < 600m.
Wireless routerpreferred: TP-Link, NetgearNecessary; ensure internet access. For wireless connection, straight line distance < 15m, supports 2.4GHz.
Internet cable100Base-TXNot necessary, applicable only when connecting to internet via cable; commu. distance < 50m.

3.3 On-site confirmation

Select a suitable installation location with customer consent:

3.4 Installation procedure

  1. Drill holes in the selected wall according to the figure (diameter: 6mm, pitch of holes: 44mm).
  2. Insert expansion plugs into the holes and then insert bolts, ensuring 3-5mm protrudes from the expansion plug.
  3. Unscrew the fixing bolts from the adapter's base, remove the bottom cover, and proceed with wiring as per the diagram.

3.5 Electrical wiring

1) Remove the case:

a. Remove rubber plugs and screws.

b. Detach the case by pulling in the direction of the arrow.

2) Connect electric wires according to the diagram:

The diagram shows the adapter (HCCS-H64H2C1M) with connections to the Address DIP switch, Electric meter, Outdoor unit, Indoor unit, Router, and Power adapter. The wiring includes 485 commu. cable, H-NET commu. cable, and Internet cable.

Wiring Requirements:

4. Configuration

4.1 DIP switch setting

When multiple adapters (up to 3) are connected to one H-NET communication cable, DSW1 must be set. The diagram indicates DIP switch positions (ON/OFF) for addresses 0xA0 through 0xA7.

Note: indicates the location of the DIP switch; indicates no attention is needed.

4.2 Electric meter setting

When connecting to a Schneider electric meter, the slave address of the electric meter must be set. Communication parameters default to the electric meter's default settings: Baud rate: 19200, parity: even. Slave address = corresponding refrigerant system number + 1. The setting diagram illustrates this relationship.

4.3 APP download

Search for and install the "Hi-Mit II" App from the Google Play Store or iOS App Store. Recommended smartphone OS: Android 6.0 or iOS 10.0 or later. A QR code is provided for downloading the user manual.
