EVS7 Series
Overview
The Dahua DHI-EVS7124S is an embedded video storage solution designed for medium to high-end IP video surveillance applications. It supports 512 channels of IP camera inputs and offers 1024 Mbps incoming, recording, and forwarding bandwidth. With hot-swap power supplies, fans, and hard disk drives, the EVS provides high availability, making it suitable for applications like public safety, transportation, government institutions, hotels, shopping malls, and financial institutions.
Its open architecture supports multi-user access and is compatible with ONVIF 2.4, ensuring compatibility with numerous third-party devices, with or without a video management system (VMS).

Functions
Modular Design
All key modules are hot-swap and redundant. Redundant fans, redundant power, and multi-redundant design ensure stability. The design for the disk carrier ensures good cooling, stability, and safety for hard disks.
Storage Extension Capacity
Local extension is supported via mini SAS interface to expansion storage cabinets, which also support redundant power and RAID.
RAID 0/1/5/6/10/50/60
Offers a balance between storage performance, capacity, and data integrity for faster and safer recording.
N+M Hot Standby
Provides a secure failover technique, ensuring immediate backup. In case of a system failure, a slave unit takes over the master to ensure no data is lost.
ANR (Automatic Network Replenishment Technology)
When the network connection is interrupted, IP cameras record video to an SD card. Once the network is restored, the video is transferred to the EVS and recorded.
