PIP5814: Unable to Program New RDCCM 84849877

Condition

Replacement rear differential clutch control module will not program, cannot retrieve information from module identification screen and no communication on any buss.

Cause

RDCCM Missing internal boot loader

Procedure

If you have just replaced the RDCCM part number 84849877 and cannot program it using SPS verify that you also cannot retrieve data in the RDCCM module identification information data list.

If the above conditions have been met it is possible that the module you installed was missing internal files to allow programming.

Verify the date code on the shipping label to be between 21103 and 21183 as shown below.

A part alert was sent to GM PDC and all suspect parts at the PDC were returned however parts in dealer inventory could still be suspect. If you find any of these parts within this date range please return them to CCA.

Parts ordered after 7/16/2021 are known good stock. Regardless of the date code on the module any part with date code after 21195 on the shipping label should be considered known good stock that was revalidated before shipping to CCA to be packaged for dealer sale.
