2.3 Installation of the antenna

NOTE 7

Installation tips

For the best reception, please read the following tips:

-

Please position the antenna away from sources of interference: among

others, appliances with high power consumption such as a refrigerator, air

conditioner, hair dryer or microwave oven.

-

It is best to position the antennas directly at the window.

-

Please install the antenna as high as possible.

Installation 1 - for areas with a weak signal (using an external amplifier)

Power supply: from the decoder

-

Please connect the antenna coaxial cable to the ANT jack of the external

amplifier.

-

Then connect the coaxial cable from the amplifier to the antenna input of the

set-top box/TV, which will provide 5V/30mA power from the digital receiver.

-

Once everything is connected, turn on the TV/decoder, select a program

and adjust the antenna.

Installation 2 - for areas with a weak signal (using an external amplifier)

Power supply: from the included power adapter

-

Please connect the antenna's coaxial cable to the set-top box or TV.

-

Then, please turn on the antenna power option on the decoder/TV.

-

After connecting all the components and turning on the antenna power option,

turn on the TV/decoder, select a program and adjust the antenna

accordingly.

8

If your TV has a built-in DVB-T decoder, the coaxial cable from the amplifier is connected directly to the TV bypassing the Digital Decoder.

Installation 3 - for areas with a strong signal (without the use of an external

amplifier)

-

Please connect the coaxial cable of the antenna to the ANT jack of the digital

receiver.

-

You can use an antenna with or without an amplifier, depending on which

combination gives you the best signal. Using an amplifier provides the best

performance in most situations, so try using it first.
