Xiaomi Mesh System AX3000 User Manual
Please read this manual carefully before use and keep it for future reference.
Connecting the Main Router
Turn on one of the routers and connect the WAN port on the back of the router to the LAN port of the broadband modem using the included network cable.
Diagram Description: The diagram shows a router with ports labeled MESH, WAN, and RESET. It illustrates connecting the device to a power outlet and to a broadband modem via the WAN port. The broadband modem is shown connected to an internet socket.
Setting Up the Main Router
If the router's system indicator is white, use a phone or computer for the initial Wi-Fi connection.
The initial Wi-Fi network name is indicated on the label on the bottom panel of the router.
After establishing the initial Wi-Fi connection, you will be redirected to the setup page. Follow the instructions on this page to complete the setup process.
If the setup page is unavailable, open a browser window and go to router.miwifi.com to complete the setup.
Mesh Network
Install another router in the room where Wi-Fi coverage is needed. Turn on the router and wait for it to start working. It will then automatically connect to the wireless network as an additional router.
Diagram Description: The diagram illustrates a multi-story house with rooms, showing the placement of mesh routers to ensure Wi-Fi coverage throughout the home.
You can also connect the WAN port of the additional router to the LAN port of the main router using a network cable. The network connection will then be configured automatically.
Control via Mi Home / Xiaomi Home App
We recommend using the Mi Home / Xiaomi Home app for more convenient router management. Connect your phone to the router's Wi-Fi and open the Mi Home / Xiaomi Home app. Log in to your Mi account and follow the on-screen instructions to pair devices.

Methods for Connecting to Xiaomi Mesh Network
For maximum network coverage in a large house, you can purchase routers that support the Xiaomi Mesh function. To set up the network, follow the steps below.
*Information about device models and router versions that support Xiaomi Mesh is available on the website www.mi.com/global.
Method 1 (Recommended)
Open the Mi Home / Xiaomi Home app and go to the "Mesh Network Devices" page of the main router. To establish a wireless connection, select "Add" and follow the instructions.
Diagram Description: An image shows a smartphone interface with options like "Wi-Fi Router" and "Devices working in mesh network", with a '+' icon to add a device.
Note: Device, accessory, and user interface images in this manual are for reference only. The actual appearance of the device and its functions may vary due to updates.
Method 2
- Reset the additional router to factory settings and then turn it on. To avoid interference, place the two routers close to each other, but for successful network setup, the distance between them should be more than one meter.
- When the additional router's system indicator turns blue or white (indicator color depends on the specific model), the main router will automatically recognize the additional router, and the Internet connection indicator on the main router will blink slowly (one blink per second), indicating the mesh network is starting.
- Press the Mesh button on the back panel of the main router. The Internet connection indicator will then blink rapidly (two blinks per second), indicating that the mesh network is being launched.
- If the Internet connection indicator on the additional router is solid, it means the network connection has been successfully established. Place the additional router in the room where network coverage is needed.
Method 3
- Reset the additional router to factory settings and then turn it on. Wait until the additional router's system indicator turns blue or white (indicator color depends on the specific model).
- Connect the network cable to the WAN port of the additional router and the LAN port of the main router. The Internet connection indicator will then blink rapidly (two blinks per second), indicating that the mesh network is being launched.
- If the Internet connection indicator on the additional router is solid, it means the mesh network connection has been successfully established.
Diagram Description: The diagram shows two routers. The left one is labeled 'Satellite Router' with a WAN port. The right one is labeled 'Main Router' with a LAN port. A network cable connects the satellite's WAN port to the main router's LAN port. An 'Internet' connection is shown to the main router.
