This site is dedicated to providing information on educational applications and instruction manuals for all schools and educational institutions engaged in the informatization of education.

ELMO Play aims to support the evolving educational landscape, particularly in response to the "GIGA School Program" initiative, which promotes one-device-per-student environments and the increased use of digital learning materials. The site also addresses the new elementary school curriculum starting in 2020, which mandates programming education and the ability to utilize computers effectively.

As a leading global company in document cameras (visualizers), ELMO Inc. has historically promoted the use of document cameras for displaying analog materials. Their latest models, MA-1, MO-2, and L-12W, are designed to facilitate the use of digital textbooks and content, adapting to societal changes and government policies. These models feature internet connectivity that allows the camera to read QR codes on textbooks and directly access and display specific content.

ELMO Play offers a platform to download applications that enhance the functionality of ELMO's document cameras as digital devices. 1. Direct Access to Application Installation from ELMO Document Cameras

   Users can access ELMO Play directly from the ELMO Play icon on the home screen of the new document cameras (MA-1, MO-2, L-12W). From ELMO Play, users can download necessary applications and proceed with automatic installation. This feature requires a network connection.

2. Applications for Digital Content-Based Learning

   • Viewer App: WPS Office (Paid)
     Available for MO-2 and L-12W, this application allows users to display Microsoft Office files (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and PDF files directly through the document camera. It is pre-installed on the MA-1 model.
   • Security App: Kingsoft Mobile Security Plus (Paid)
     This security application can be installed on network-connected Android models (MA-1, MO-2, L-12W) to provide security measures.
   • Programming Learning App: ScottieGo! (Free)
     This app aligns with the objectives of the new elementary school curriculum, fostering computational thinking. It is particularly suitable for group activities and active learning styles for younger students. ScottieGo! uses physical cards with command instructions that are read by the document camera. A character on the screen then executes the commands. ELMO Play supports updates for these applications. The command cards are available separately in a full set (¥8,900) and a starter set (¥2,500).

Future Development

ELMO Play will continue to develop and offer learning applications for subjects like English, as well as remote communication tools, to support the realization of "active, interactive, and deep learning" in classrooms. Integration with ELMO's interactive whiteboard, ELMO xSync Board, is also planned soon.
