The Itron Cellular 500W Remote Module is an advanced cellular radio frequency transmitting module that interfaces with water registers and meters. It is engineered to capture and transmit crucial data, including consumption usage, events, and alarms. This module is IPv6-compliant and supports communication over Itron's OpenWay multi-purpose IoT solution, as well as the legacy ChoiceConnect™ Mobile platform.
The Cellular 500W modules are shipped in a 'Factory Mode' to prevent unauthorized radio transmissions during transit. Upon successful installation and programming, these modules automatically acquire and transmit meter data according to the configured settings. They are designed to be compatible with a wide range of meter manufacturers' registers. - Datalogging: Offers extensive interval data storage, configurable from 1 minute to 1 hour, supporting both Network Mode and Mobile Mode operations.
- Transmission Modes: Operates efficiently in either Network Mode or Mobile Mode, with various power and transmission rate options to optimize battery life and data reporting.
- Mobile High Power Mode: Provides an extended battery life of up to 20 years with high-powered RF messages transmitted every 60 seconds.
- Mobile and Handheld Mode: Transmits medium-powered RF messages every 15 seconds, also with an expected battery life of 20 years.
- Optional Hard-to-Read Mode: Offers a higher-powered RF message every 30 seconds, with a reduced battery life of 15 years, suitable for challenging installation environments.
- Leak and Reverse Flow Detection: Incorporates sophisticated algorithms for detecting water leaks and reverse flow, enhancing system monitoring.
- Optional Leak Sensor: Analyzes water flow sound patterns to identify leaks, with data reported to the mlogonline Network Leak Monitoring portal.
- Optional Remote Disconnect Valve: Enables utilities to remotely manage customer water disconnections and reconnections, reducing operational costs.
