Save all warnings and instructions for future reference. The term “power tool” refers to mains-operated (corded) or battery-operated (cordless) power tools.
1) Work Area Safety
- a) Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
- b) Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres (e.g., presence of flammable liquids, gases, or dust). Power tools create sparks that may ignite dust or fumes.
- c) Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause loss of control.
2) Electrical Safety
- a) Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug. Do not use adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools.
- b) Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces (e.g., pipes, radiators, ranges, refrigerators).
- c) Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions.
- d) Do not abuse the cord. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges, or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.
- e) When operating outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use.
- f) If operating in a damp location is unavoidable, use a residual current device (RCD) protected supply.
3) Personal Safety
- a) Stay alert, use common sense. Do not use while tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication.
- b) Use personal protective equipment (PPE): Always wear eye protection. Dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection may also be required.
- c) Prevent unintentional starting: Ensure the switch is in the off-position before connecting to power or picking up the tool.
- d) Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool on.
- e) Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times.
- f) Dress properly: Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep hair, clothing, and gloves away from moving parts.

- a) Do not force the power tool; use the correct tool for the application.
- b) Do not use if the switch does not turn it on and off; the tool must be repaired.
- c) Disconnect the plug from the power source before making adjustments, changing accessories, or storing.
- d) Store idle power tools out of reach of children and persons unfamiliar with them.
- e) Maintain power tools: Check for misalignment, binding, or breakage. Have damaged tools repaired before use.
- f) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean.
- g) Use the power tool, accessories, and bits in accordance with these instructions and working conditions.
- h) Keep handles and grasping surfaces dry, clean, and free from oil and grease.
5) Service
- a) Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts.
6) Recommendation
The tool should always be used via a residual current device (RCD) having a rated residual current of 30 mA or less.
Safety Warnings for Belt Sander

Adjust the variable speed control dial (2) to increase or decrease the speed according to the material and sanding belt specification (See Fig. D). Avoid prolonged use at very low speed, as this may damage the motor.
| Material | Speed selection | Belt grit |
|---|---|---|
| Solid wood | 5-6 | 80 |
| Veneer | 2-4 | 150 |
| Chipboard | 1-5 | 60/80 |
| Plastics | 2-5 | 100 |
| Steel | 5-6 | 80 |
| Paint removal | 6 | 40/60 |
| Balsa wood | 1-3 | 100 |
| Acrylic | 1-2 | 100 |
Belt Adjustment Control
WARNING! Wear eye protection before carrying out a belt adjustment.
WARNING! Ensure the product is disconnected from the mains power supply before attempting any operation.
Turn the machine upside down, hold it firmly with one hand, start the belt sander, and then release the on/off trigger (4) immediately after observing the sanding belt tracking (See Fig. E). If the belt runs outward, turn the belt adjustment control knob (8) anti-clockwise. If it runs inward, turn it clockwise. Adjust the belt until it is centered on the base plate. Proper tracking significantly increases belt life.
Front Plate
WARNING! Ensure the product is disconnected from the mains power supply before attempting any operation.
WARNING! Keep your fingers clear of the belt while sanding.
When sanding tight corners, the front plate (13) can be used for better results (See Fig. F1). Lift the front plate (13) up to the locked position. It does not need to be held during sanding once locked (See Fig. F2).
Working Hints for Your Belt Sander
- If the belt sander becomes too hot, especially at low speed, set the speed to maximum and run with no load for 2-3 minutes to cool the motor. Avoid prolonged usage at very low speed.
- Always use a sanding belt (11) suited to the material being sanded.
- Ensure the work-piece is firmly held or clamped to prevent movement.
- Support large panels close to the sanding area.
- Any movement of the material may affect the sanding finish.
- Start your sander before sanding and turn off only after stopping.
- For best results, sand wood in the direction of the grain.
- Do not start sanding without the sanding belt (11) fitted.
- Empty the dust collection bag (12) every 5 minutes or sooner to ensure efficient dust collection.
Maintenance
Replacing the Drive Belt
WARNING! Ensure the product is disconnected from the mains power supply before attempting any maintenance tasks.
WARNING! Wear protective gloves when replacing the drive belt.
- Remove screws (a) from the belt cover (7) using a Phillips screwdriver (not supplied) by turning anti-clockwise. Then remove the belt cover (7) (See Fig. G1, G2).
- Carefully cut and remove the old drive belt if it is not broken.
- Fit the new drive belt (b) around the large pulley (d) first.
- Install onto the small pulley (c) by rotating clockwise and pushing the drive belt (b) simultaneously. The drive belt (b) will be a tight fit (See Fig. G3).
- Fit the belt cover (7) and screws (a) by turning them clockwise using a Phillips screwdriver (not supplied).
General Maintenance
This power tool requires no additional lubrication or maintenance. There are no user-serviceable parts. Never use water or chemical cleaners. Wipe clean with a dry cloth. Always store the belt sander in a dry place. Keep motor ventilation slots clean and free of dust. Occasional sparks from ventilation slots are normal.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons to avoid a hazard.
Carbon Brushes
When carbon brushes wear out, the belt sander will spark and/or stop. Discontinue use immediately. They should be replaced before recommencing use. Carbon brushes are a wearing component and are not covered under warranty. Continuing to use the sander with worn brushes may cause permanent damage. Carbon brushes wear out after many uses. For replacement, take the belt sander to a service agent. Always replace both carbon brushes at the same time.
Environmental Protection
Recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of them as waste. All tools, hoses, and packaging should be sorted, taken to a local recycling centre, and disposed of in an environmentally safe way. ♻️
