1 Introduction
The Power Integrity™ Remote Control Solution (RCS) fueling control panel integrates essential components such as dispenser/pump disconnects, dispenser hook isolation, low-voltage dispenser data disconnects, and emergency stop (E-stop) buttons into a single unit. The RCS facilitates advanced monitoring of device power status, enables remote E-stop engagement, and provides remote power resetting capabilities for critical fuel system and C-store assets.
Leveraging OVERSITETM technology for remote monitoring and power cycling, C-Store operators can remotely manage fuel dispensers, site controllers, submersible pumps, and other equipment. This capability significantly reduces the need for costly on-site maintenance and minimizes expenses associated with extended downtime.

2 Safety/Security
2.1 General Safety Information
- Procedures in this document are to be performed only by qualified and certified individuals (see §2.3 and §2.7).
- Personnel working with energized equipment must be authorized by relevant regulatory bodies and possess appropriate training. Consult employer and regulatory body rules.
- Obey all local laws, rules, regulations, and document instructions. In case of conflict, adhere to the stricter requirement.
- Keep unqualified personnel at a safe distance during installation.
- If safety/security devices are removed, reinstall them immediately after work completion.
2.2 Documentation Availability
Upon installation completion, transfer this document to the facility owner, operator, or responsible person. Save this guide for future reference and provide it to service personnel. Always consult equipment-specific guides for comprehensive installation and safety precautions. The latest Franklin Electric documentation is available at www.franklinfueling.com.
2.3 Installation & Service Access
Certified Installer, Service, or Programmer: Only Franklin Electric certified installers, technicians, and programmers may access the RCS. Refer to §2.7 for certification training details. Failure to use certified personnel voids the warranty.
2.4 Hazard Assessment
Before and during work, conduct a pre-job hazard assessment to identify safety and environmental needs. This assessment should:
- Identify potential hazards and risks.
- Determine job safety needs.
- Identify correct procedures, practices, and equipment.
- Eliminate unsafe conditions and actions.
- Identify necessary personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Inspect equipment before use.
- Confirm cable sheaths are secure and undamaged.
- Confirm plugs and connectors are properly connected and serviceable.
- Perform ongoing risk assessment throughout the project.
2.5 Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs)
The following PPEs are required during all installation phases:

2.6 Cyber Security
The product connects to and communicates data via a network interface. The owner is solely responsible for ensuring a secure connection between the product and the owner's network. The owner must implement security measures (firewalls, authentication, encryption, anti-virus) to protect the product, network, and system from breaches, unauthorized access, and data theft. Ensure all connected devices use the latest firmware for security features. Franklin Electric is not liable for damages resulting from security breaches.
2.7 Qualifications for a Certified Installer
Completion of the "Fuel System Installation Safety" course is required for certification test access.
2.7.1 Qualifications for Installation Certification
To be qualified for RCS installation, individuals must complete the following training courses (online or live) and possess the required licensing:
Controller Specialist
- Remote Control Solutions: Installation
- Remote Control Solutions: Programming and Commissioning
Licensing
- Valid State Electrician's License (current and in good standing).
- NFPA 70E Arc Flash Awareness Training Certified.
- Approved by local laws, rules, and regulations to perform the work.

2.7.2 Responsibilities
The owner of the install site must ensure all RCS installers are certified, comply with local regulations, and follow document instructions. Certified users must understand the RCS and its safe use, and maintain their Franklin Electric training certification.
3 Pre-Installation Overview
3.1 Upon Receipt of Item(s)
- Verify all items match the order.
- Check all items for damage. Inform Franklin Electric immediately if damage or discrepancies are found.
- Remove packaging material.
- Dispose of parts and packaging according to local laws, rules, and regulations.
3.2 Site Preparation
Before installation, ensure the following:
- A mounting location conforming to specifications in §4.3 is designated.
- RCS Panel dimensions match the on-site panel installation location.
- An EVOTM 600 or 6000 Series console with an available Ethernet port 2 for remote capabilities is present.

4 Technical Overview
The RCS, featuring OVERSITETM technology, offers the following functions:

4.1 Component Identification
The RCS panel contains various modules and components:
- Pump Power Module (PUMP MOD) - E-Stop controlled
- Dispenser Power Module (1-PH MOD) - E-Stop controlled
- Forecourt Aux Power Module (1-PH MOD) - E-Stop controlled

5 Installation
WARNING:
- Conduits must have EYS seal fittings installed per NFPA 70 and NFPA 30A. Failure to seal conduits can allow flammable vapors into the RCS Panel, potentially causing an explosion, serious injury, property loss, or death.
- Ensure all power to the RCS panel is turned off, tagged, and locked-out at the power panel before performing any maintenance or installation.
- This product emits a magnetic field that can be harmful to pacemaker wearers. Pacemaker wearers must maintain a distance of 12" (30 cm).
CAUTION:
Seal all threaded fittings and conduit threads to ensure a weatherproof seal during installation/maintenance.
IMPORTANT:
Read, understand, and follow information in §2, §3, and §4 before proceeding with any process in this section.
NOTE:
Upon completion of installation, leave this guide with the service station owner or operator.
5.1 Panel Mounting Instructions
WARNING:
RCS panels can weigh up to 200 lbs (90.7 kg). Ensure adequate help is available to securely lift and position the panel until fasteners are fully installed.
NOTE:
Refer to §4 for technical information relevant to RCS installation.
- Install the RCS panel using 0.25" hardware suitable for the panel's weight and the mounting surface material.

5.2 Wiring Instructions
NOTE:
- Refer to §4.1 for component locations within the RCS panel.
- Refer to §6.4 for a table to record wiring information/mapping for programming.
- Most modules use 4-pin plugs for inputs/outputs.
- To facilitate maintenance and prevent strain on terminal connections, all field wiring should include a service loop of 6–12" (15–30 cm).
- Ensure selected wire complies with local regulations.

5.2.1 Emergency Stop (E-Stop)
NOTE:
A dedicated 20 A rated circuit breaker is required upstream of the E-Stop Push Button(s) for compliance.

Procedure
- Wire the E-Stop supply voltage to fuse block FES EPL (at the beginning of the E-Stop Terminal Group) and torque to 10.6–13.3 in-lbs (1.2–1.5 Nm).
- Verify a 10 A fuse is installed. Use the same type and rating for replacements.
- Wire E-Stop Shut-Off Push Buttons (Normally Closed) in series, connecting both ends to ES2_A and ES2_B.

5.2.1.1 Reset Wiring
Cashier Reset Controls: Wire the E-Stop Reset (Normally Open) terminals in parallel to terminals ER1_A and ER1_B within the E-Stop Terminal Group.
Cashier E-Stop Controls: Remove the jumper between terminals ES1_A and ES1_B. Connect the E-Stop Push Button (Normally Closed) between these terminals and torque to 5.3–7.0 in-lbs (0.6–0.8 Nm).

5.2.1.2 Push Button Identification (Option)
NOTE:
- Additional E-Stop push buttons may be supported, subject to ACIO Module quantity limitations within the RCS.
- To use this feature, each E-Stop button must be wired to an available ACIO input terminal on the ES1 B side. The ACIO Module has two input plugs: Front (live wire) and Back (neutral).
Procedure
- Wire the E-Stop Option per the diagram.
- Connect the ACIO Module using the terminal plug with a 12 or 14 AWG wire (based on rating) and torque to 4.4–5.3 in-lbs (0.5–0.6 Nm).
- Record the wiring of each E-Stop conductor for later programming.

5.2.2 Panel Power Supply (RCS)
NOTE:
A dedicated 20 A rated circuit breaker is required upstream of the RCS Panel for compliance.
Procedure
- Connect a dedicated 20 A circuit breaker to the fuse block 120 CTL and torque to 10.6–13.3 in-lbs (1.2–1.5 Nm).
- Verify a 10 A fuse is installed. Use the same type and rating for replacements.
5.2.3 Single-Phase Power

5.2.3.1 Single-Phase Dispenser Power
Procedure
- Wire the dispenser power according to the diagram.
- Connect the 1-PH Module (Dispenser) using the terminal plug with a 12–16 AWG wire and torque to 4.4–5.3 in-lbs (0.5–0.6 Nm).
- Record where each dispenser is wired with the module relay number for programming.

5.2.3.2 Single-Phase Forecourt Aux Power
NOTE:
The first Single-Phase Forecourt Aux Module is installed after the last Single-Phase Dispenser Module and labeled as 1-PH MOD XX, where XX is the subsequent number.
Procedure
- Wire the device power according to the diagram.
- Connect the 1-PH Module (Aux Device) using the terminal plug with a 12–16 AWG wire and torque to 4.4–5.3 in-lbs (0.5–0.6 Nm).
- Record where each Single-Phase Aux (E-stopped) device is wired with the module relay number for programming.

5.2.4 Pump Controller Power
NOTE:
Each Pump Controller Module uses Binder Head or Quick Connect terminals.

Procedure
- Wire the controller power according to the diagram.
- Record where each dispenser is wired with the module relay number for programming.

5.2.5 Single-Phase Aux Device Power

Procedure
- Wire the Aux Device power according to the diagram.
- Connect the 1-PH Device (Aux) Module using the terminal plug with a 12–30 AWG wire and torque to 4.4–5.3 in-lbs (0.5–0.6 Nm).
- Record where each Single-Phase Aux Device is wired with the module relay number for programming.

5.2.6 Dispenser Hook Isolation
IMPORTANT:
To comply with NEC 514-13, do not short the Dispenser Hook wires.
NOTE:
- Hook inputs/outputs may not always correlate to the same ACIO Module.
- ACIO Module inputs have two plugs: Front (live wire) and Back (neutral).
- It is recommended to wire Dispenser 1 Hook wires into ACIO 02, Dispenser 2 into ACIO 03, and so on. Use the next available slot if also wiring E-Stop ID.
- Some Outputs may be factory pre-wired for Low Voltage Dispenser Data Disconnects.

Procedure
- Wire the dispenser hook isolation per the diagram.
- Connect the ACIO Module using the terminal plug with a 12 AWG wire and torque to 4.4–5.3 in-lbs (0.5–0.6 Nm).
- Record where each product and dispenser is wired for programming.
NOTE:
Each ACIO Input requires a corresponding Neutral wired correctly. For example, if hook inputs 1–4 are wired, neutrals 1–4 must also be wired.
5.2.7 Dispenser Data Disconnect

5.2.8 Multiple RCS Parallel Wiring
NOTE:
- If connecting more than one RCS to the EVOTM, a FMP-NEB networking switch is required.
- If multiple RCS units are on site, E-Stop circuits must be wired together according to local regulations.
- This setup involves a primary RCS followed by secondary RCS units in a cascading fashion. The primary RCS controls E-Stop functionality for all subsequent RCS units.
- Cashier Control Push Button wiring (5.2.1.2) is performed only on the Primary RCS.
- E-stop Push buttons (5.2.1) are wired on the last RCS in the chain.
Procedure
NOTE:
Wiring diagram is shown on the following page.
- On all RCS units, except the last secondary RCS, remove the jumper between terminals ES2_A and ES2_B. (This includes the primary RCS.)
- On all secondary RCS units, remove the jumper between terminals ES1_A and ES1_B.
- On all secondary RCS units, remove the jumper between terminals LT and CT.
- On the primary RCS, connect a wire from an open ESO terminal to the corresponding CT terminal(s) of a secondary RCS.
- Starting with the primary RCS, connect a wire from terminal RT to terminal 2 on subsequent RCS units. Repeat for all subsequent RCS.
- Starting with the primary RCS, connect a wire from terminal LT to terminal LT on subsequent secondary RCS units. Repeat for all subsequent RCS.
- Starting with the primary RCS, connect a wire from terminal ES2_A to terminal ES1_B on subsequent Secondary RCS units. Repeat for all subsequent RCS.

5.2.9 Commissioning & Troubleshooting Procedures
