Precautions Before Installation

  1. Hand over installation to professional staff to avoid damage and accidents. Do not disassemble the unit without permission.
  2. Consult the owner about prior modifications or repairs. Inform them about drilling and routing. Check for vehicle fault codes, door switch, sunroof switch, and remote key button functionality. Verify vehicle surfaces, tailgate gaps, and flatness for reference.
  3. Ensure the car battery has sufficient power. If not, start the engine for a period to avoid affecting tailgate operation and car startup.
  4. Before disassembly, remove metal objects and hard objects to prevent interior damage.
  5. Use masking paper and towels to protect the car interior from scratches during installation. Place removed components properly. Handle wiring sundries promptly and insulate joints to prevent short circuits.
  6. When installing the body bracket, use the special bracket if provided. Distinguish direction to avoid reverse installation, which can cause the rod to fall off or improper tailgate closure, potentially scratching the vehicle paint.
  7. Determine brace direction and position before installation to avoid damage. Ensure the circlip is properly seated on the ball head; test for looseness by pulling the brace outward.
  8. When taking power, use the fuse box B+ high current fuse position (not lower than 20A) and ensure it does not affect other vehicle functions. Ensure a good ground connection.
  9. If perforation is required for the walking brace wire, follow the provided drilling guide. Pull the door down properly to ensure the drill bit is perpendicular to the drilling position.
  10. When arranging cables (can line, power line, front key line, electric suction box connecting line), bind them with the threading device, placing larger plugs at the front. Use surface wax in the threading pipe for easier threading.
  11. Do not plug or unplug leads and accessories while the power is on to avoid damaging the host or accessories.

Installation Steps

  1. Remove the original left and right struts and their fixing brackets.
  2. Install the left and right supports of the tailgate as shown.
  3. Install the left and right supports of the vehicle body, and then install the left and right electric struts with the outlet end facing down.
  4. Remove the original rear door lock mechanism and install the new electric lock mechanism, connecting the electric plug and lock control plug.
  5. Remove the original rear door lock hook and install the standard lock hook.
  6. Route the power cable to the main driver and connect the ground cable to the ground screw inside the triangle plate on the driver's side.
  7. Remove the left pedal trim plate of the main drive. Unplug the original car's 30A normal electric safety adapter and plug in the Electrical reclaimer to get power.
  8. The front operation is controlled by the original car's front button on the main driving door.
  9. Drill holes on the right side of the tail door trim panel and install the special rear buttons.

Common Commissioning Operations of Electric Tailgate

Operation Description
Height memory setting Gently push the tailgate to the desired height. Press and hold the tailgate height setting button for 3 seconds. A 'Di' sound confirms successful setting. The tailgate will automatically open to this height on subsequent uses.
Didi prompt tone setting By default, there is no prompt tone during opening/closing. To enable tones, press the tailgate button twice in succession, releasing every 3 seconds, then repeat the second operation to open or close with a prompt tone.
Eighth gear acceleration and deceleration setting The default is three gears, with a total of eight gears. Closing speed can be adjusted to prevent issues like repeated closing attempts or customer complaints about speed.
Controller sleep recovery If the controller is unresponsive or unlit, it may be in sleep mode due to improper installation. Disconnect the power cord for 5 minutes or discharge the two pins in the power socket to resume operation.

Setting Method of Eighth Gear Acceleration and Deceleration: When opening the door, manually turn the tailgate lock to the full lock state. Within 10 seconds, briefly press the tailgate key (controller will emit 'didi' sound). The number of times to press determines the closing speed (default 3, max 8, min 1). Closing speed increases by 50% per gear. After setting, quickly open the tailgate lock using any method (handle, switch, key, front switch) to apply the setting.
