Inputs/Outputs
Please select the appropriate input and output based on the actual device connections. All digital inputs on this device do not support coaxial and optical digital output. Digital audio input can only be output through the analog ports RCA/XLR and the digital port IIS.
USB Output
Use a USB audio cable to connect the device's USB audio output to the external DAC's USB input. Go to "Home screen > Source > Internal Player", choose “USB DAC” as output.
IIS Output
Use an HDMI cable to connect the IIS output port on DMP-A8 to an external DAC with an IIS input port. Go to "Source > Internal Player", and select 'IIS' as the output port.
Notes:
- This function only uses the HDMI port to transmit IIS signals, not standard HDMI signals, so it cannot be directly connected to the HDMI ports of computers, TVs, or set-top boxes.
- Different brands of external DACs have different IIS signal mute levels; please set them correctly.
- IIS audio output supports DSD512 Native, PCM 768KHz/32Bit.
Coaxial/Optical Output
Use a Coaxial/Optical cable to connect the device's Coaxial/Optical output port to the AV receiver input, then go to "Home screen > Source > Internal Player” and choose "Coaxial/Optical" as the output port.
