Regency App Quick Start Guide
Introducing the New Regency Fireplaces App
Put the power of flame directly in your hand. With the Regency Fireplaces App, you can take control of your fireplace turning it on/off, adjusting the flame height, fan, and temperature of your gas fireplace heater directly on your smartphone. The Wi-Fi enabled module provides the ultimate fireplace control. This guide will take you through everything you need to know about using the app, including Setup, Operation, and Troubleshooting. For more information visit Regency-fire.com.au.

- Select Home Network: Return to the Regency App and select your home network. Ensure Wi-Fi signal strength is three bars or greater.

- To increase flame height, press the [+] button.
- To decrease flame height, press the [-] button.
- Flame height ranges from 1 (minimum) to 6 (maximum).
The fireplace continues to run when the app is closed. Opening the app automatically searches for the fireplace on the network.
Auto Mode
In AUTO mode:
- To increase room temperature, press the [+] button.
- To decrease room temperature, press the [-] button.
- Set temperature ranges from 7°C (minimum) to 32°C (maximum) in 0.5-degree increments.
- The fireplace turns on if Room Temperature is 0.5°C lower than Set Temperature.
- The fireplace turns off if Room Temperature is 1°C higher than Set Temperature.
- Press and hold [+] to accelerate temperature increase; press and hold [-] to accelerate decrease.
Flame height may vary with room temperature. The fireplace continues to run when the app is closed.
Fan Adjustment
In both MANUAL and AUTO modes:
- To increase fan speed, press the [+] button.
- To decrease fan speed, press the [-] button.
- Fan speed ranges from 1 (low) to 3 (high).
- The fan remains on for 10 minutes after the fireplace turns off for efficiency.
- Fan behavior after shutdown: Low fan stays on for 10 minutes. Medium fan stays on for 2 minutes, then low for 8 minutes. High fan stays on for 2 minutes, then low for 8 minutes.
Pre-Purge and Post-Purge
These are safety features for Power Flued appliances.
- During purge cycles, the power flue fan runs to clear gases.
- Turning the unit on initiates the pre-purge cycle (power button flashes red, then solid white).
- Turning the unit off initiates the post-purge cycle (power button flashes grey, then solid grey).
- Cycles are brief. Do not press the on/off button repeatedly during these cycles.
Using the App in Conjunction with the Remote
- Ensure remote batteries are working. The remote needs power to measure room temperature for the app.
- App changes reflect remote changes, but switching modes (AUTO/MANUAL) on one device does not automatically switch on the other.
- The most recent change made (app or remote) takes control.
- If the remote is lost or batteries are dead, the app can only be used in MANUAL mode.
- If the remote is unpaired, check batteries and re-pair if necessary.
Settings
- To add a new fireplace: Go to Settings > ADD/REMOVE FIREPLACE > ADD FIREPLACE. Follow prompts.
- To remove a fireplace: Go to Settings > ADD/REMOVE FIREPLACE. Click the 'X' next to the fireplace to remove.
- Click BACK to return to the previous screen.
- Default controls include FLAME and FAN. A new "Model" button allows model selection. Latest app updates may automatically detect the installed model.
Support and Model Selection
Click on the SUPPORT button in the app to visit the Regency website for warranty registration, tutorials, and customer service.
In "Select Model", you can choose "Greenfire" or "Aspire". The "Aspire" function adds additional lighting controls.
In the Event of a Power Outage
Your fireplace will not restart automatically after a power restoration. The remote also needs to be cycled off/on. User input via remote or app is required to turn the unit back on.
- The app disconnects from the network during a power loss.
- The app reconnects within 3 minutes when power returns.
- The app will be turned off when power and Wi-Fi connections are restored, even if it was on before the outage.
Troubleshooting
Most issues relate to Wi-Fi network or signal strength. Follow these steps before contacting support.
Signal Strength Fluctuations
The Regency app requires a signal strength of three bars or higher. If signal fluctuates below this, a Wi-Fi booster or extender may be needed. Consult a local electronics expert.
Troubleshooting Your Wi-Fi
01. Reboot your modem
If the internet is not working, restart the modem:
- Turn the modem off at the wall.
- Leave it off for at least two minutes.
- Turn the modem back on at the wall.
The modem will take time to start up and re-establish the connection. If problems persist, proceed to the next step.
02. A few things to check
Verify the following:
- Wireless light on your router is on.
- Mobile device has Wi-Fi enabled and is connected to your wireless network (not mobile data).
- The issue is with the wireless network.
- Connect a computer/laptop via Ethernet cable to the modem and check all connections.
- After connecting, open a browser and visit a known page (e.g., Google). If internet works, the issue is wireless. If not, contact your Internet Service Provider.
03. Test another device
Try connecting another wireless device. If it works, the original device may be the issue. Search online for device-specific issues or contact the manufacturer.
04. Contact your internet provider
If network issues persist, contact your Internet Service Provider.
05. Frequent disconnections, slow performance, weak signal
Network disruptions can be caused by appliances, house structure, or neighbors' Wi-Fi. Consider router and device placement; a central router location is ideal for signal strength.
06. Modem and/or router password change
If the modem/router loses power for over 24 hours or the password changes, the app may reset to factory settings, requiring re-setup.
07. Using a VPN on your mobile phone
VPNs can affect fireplace connection. Try disabling your VPN and reconnecting.
App Minimum Requirements: iOS 13 for iPhone, Android 10 for Android devices.
Important Warnings and Release
Warning
DO NOT turn on the fireplace without a thorough inspection of the surrounding area for fire hazards. Ensure no unsupervised children, infirm individuals, or pets are in the vicinity. Read and adhere to the Manual's user requirements and warnings.
Release
By using the app, you acknowledge and agree that failure to comply with user requirements may result in damage to the fireplace, property, house fire, severe burns, personal injury, or death. The Company is not liable for damages arising from non-compliance, and you release the Company from all claims related to such events.
