Installation Spacing Recommendations
Recessed Area or Closet Installation
This section outlines the recommended spacing for installing the washer in a recessed area or closet. Ensure proper ventilation for optimal performance and safety.

Key Spacing Information:
- Maximum depth for recessed area: 14" (356 mm)
- Side clearance from front of washer: 5" (126 mm)
- Top clearance: 3" (76 mm)
- Front clearance from wall: 1" (25 mm)
- Ventilation openings: 48 in² (310 cm²) at top, 24 in² (155 cm²) at bottom
- Additional 1" (25 mm) spacing on all sides is recommended to reduce noise transfer.
- If a closet door or louvered door is installed, top and bottom air openings are required.
Note: Dimensions shown are recommended clearances, except for closet door ventilation openings which are minimum requirements. The washer has been tested for installation with 0" (0 mm) clearance on the sides. Additional space may be considered for easier installation, servicing, and clearance with companion appliances, walls, doors, and floor moldings.
