Setup Instructions
Initial Setup
Before you take your new tent on a camping trip, you need to set it up to become familiar with it and allow the material to air out.
Select Your Campsite
Find a level spot that is protected from wind. This will ensure sleeping comfort. Clear any debris that may puncture the tent floor. Also choose a site that will drain well in the event that it rains.
Unroll the Tent and Assemble the Pole
Unroll the tent body and lay the floor flat on the ground. Unzip the doors. Unfold the pole and allow it to slide together. Ensure that the connections are tight.
Stake Out the Tent Floor
Stake out the floor loosely to help in setting up the tent. (See Diagram 1)
Diagram 1 Description: An overhead view of the tent floor being staked out loosely.
Erect the Tent
Assemble rain cap to the top of the center roof pole. At the base of the pole, attach the pole stabilizer over the end of the pole. (See Diagram 2)
Diagram 2 Description: An illustration showing the tent poles being assembled and the tent being erected. The center roof pole is inserted into the tent's roof, and a person is shown staking down guy ropes in a star pattern.
From inside of the tent, insert the small end of the top of the pole into the center of the roof. Stand the pole vertically with the pole stabilizer in the middle of the floor. Have another person hold the pole in place, and begin to stake down the guy ropes. It is recommended to stake down the ropes in a star-type pattern to keep a uniform balance of the tent. Adjust and secure the tent's floor stakes to make the tent taunt.
To take down the tent, reverse the process.
Care Instructions
Spot clean with mild soap and water. Ensure tent is dry before transporting or storing to prevent mildew and damage. Store in cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.
