Software Functions
Home Screen Introduction
The app's home screen consists of three main parts: Product, Banner, and Function Zone. Clicking the Product zone allows entry into the real-time thermal imaging screen, offering various professional temperature measurement and mode selection options.
Clicking the "Customer Service" button provides access to the official after-sales customer service group, where users can report issues, share thermal imaging experiences, and learn techniques.
Clicking the "Gallery" button enables users to find their captured infrared images and videos, and perform secondary editing or create reports for free.
The "Settings" button at the bottom integrates various options, including User Login, Quality Assessment, Feedback, Product Information, Image Settings, Temperature Settings, and more.

Thermal Imaging Screen
This screen features top and bottom functional areas and a central image area. The top functional area contains the Back, Shutter, and Settings buttons. The bottom functional area, from left to right, includes the PIP button, Temperature Measurement Tools, Snapshot, Image Settings, and Pseudocolor Palette. The central image area displays the infrared scan, temperature measurement results, and other information.

Picture-in-Picture (PIP)
Clicking this button activates the phone's camera to display or integrate the optical image with the thermal scan. The phone's camera image allows adjustment of position, size, and transparency. You can also switch between the front or rear phone camera by pressing the button in the top right corner.
Professional Temperature Measurement Tools
The professional mode supports 3-point, 3-line, and 3-rectangle temperature measurements. For areas and lines, the highest, lowest, and average temperatures are displayed.
Point measurement allows adding or dragging measurement points. Tap a point to remove it. This applies to other controls as well.
The isothermal scale (color bar) can be used with palettes other than hot white or hot black to highlight temperature zones requiring special attention. The selected zone is displayed in palette form, while others are black and white.
Tap the "Delete" control to clear all points, lines, and frames.
Clicking the "Temp Mode" button allows switching the temperature measurement mode from the default HQ Mode (measuring -20°C to 150°C) to Wide Range Mode (measuring 150°C to 600°C) or selecting Auto mode.
Snapshot
Clicking the "Photo Taking" button allows capturing and saving the infrared image, visible light image (dual spectrum enabled), and temperature measurement data (temperature measurement enabled) to the Gallery. Continuous shooting is supported.
Clicking "Video Taking" allows recording infrared images and audio, saving them to the Gallery. Capturing photos during video recording is also supported.
Image Settings
In the "Image Settings" section, you can rotate the displayed image, apply a mirror effect, adjust image brightness, select image contrast, and change the reading color according to your preferences.
Pressing the button in the top right corner allows access to further settings.
Pseudocolor Palette
By default, the app offers hot white, hot black, iron red, red hot, and 8 other palettes. Select different palettes based on your preferences or needs.
The palette does not affect temperature measurement. However, the isothermal scale (color bar) applies only to palettes other than hot white and hot black.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
-
Why doesn't Temp Master respond when connected to the phone?
Troubleshoot in the following order:
- Ensure your phone runs Android 6.0 or later.
- Check if the OTG function is available and enabled on your phone. For OPPO, vivo, OnePlus, realme, or iQOO phones, find "OTG" in Settings and enable it manually. This function automatically turns off after 10 minutes of inactivity. On most other phones, OTG is enabled by default and can be used directly.
- Ensure you have downloaded the Temp Master app and granted it all required permissions.
- Disconnect and reconnect the product. If it still does not respond, contact our after-sales service.
-
Why is my screen upside down or in the wrong direction?
Our app supports 90-degree rotation in four directions and mirror settings. You can access the operation menu by tapping the Settings button on the home screen. For details, refer to section 4.2.5 of this guide.
-
What to do if the screen is blurry?
Due to the operating characteristics of uncooled infrared detectors, the screen needs to be refreshed using the shutter, i.e., by tapping the Shutter icon. This helps create clearer images.
-
Can I use the camera to observe objects underwater, under clothing, or under skin?
This camera primarily detects infrared waves in the 8-14µm range. Therefore, it cannot observe objects through water or ordinary glass and can only measure the surface temperature of clothing and skin.
-
Does the thermal camera pose a radiation hazard to the human body?
No. The camera actively emits no dangerous radiation; it only collects thermal information from objects. It can be used with peace of mind.
-
How can I increase the accuracy of temperature measurement?
- Correctly set the distance, ambient temperature, humidity, reflected temperature, and emissivity (a table of emissivity for common objects is available online).
- Choose products with suitable focal lengths. The longer the focal length, the longer the detection distance (as atmospheric absorption of infrared waves means that at greater distances, energy attenuation increases, and temperature measurement accuracy decreases).
-
Why do horizontal, vertical, or wavy lines/ghosts appear on the screen?
This is usually caused by poor interface contact or external electromagnetic signal interference. You can resolve this issue by following these steps:
- Restart your mobile phone, disconnect, and reconnect the thermal camera.
- Connect directly to the mobile phone or use an extension cable.
- Test with another mobile phone. If the problem persists, return the device to the after-sales service for troubleshooting.
-
Is it normal for a "click" sound to be heard inside when the thermal camera is connected?
Yes, it is the sound of the thermal camera's shutter for image refresh (correction). If an image is blurry, click it manually to make the image clearer and temperature measurement more accurate. When the device is first connected to the mobile phone, the shutter will sound several times. After a few minutes of use, the device's interior will reach thermal equilibrium, and the shutter frequency will decrease.
