Features and Precautions

Anti-Tearing:

Tearing is detected by an accelerometer. Caution: switch on the reader when it is in its final position to initialize the accelerometer correctly.

Bell:

For touch screen read-only readers, if the bell is activated, contact J2 is used to connect an external ring (max. 200 mA at 28 Vdc).

UHF Default Configuration Settings:

When the reader is powered off, default settings can be stored in internal memory accessible via UHF RFID technology and will be applied upon power-up.

Reader Configuration:

Powering-Up Sequence:

Upon power-up, the reader undergoes an initialization phase:

  1. White LED and buzzer activate for 100 ms.
  2. LED activation indicates firmware version: Red = +10, Orange = +5, Green = +1.
  3. For serial R/S readers: Orange LED flashes 20 times, indicating waiting for an update.
  4. For Bluetooth® readers: White LED remains lit during Bluetooth initialization.
  5. Default LED activation: flashes blue for read-only, off for OSDP™ (if no custom configuration).
  6. For ARC screens with keypad: Default mode displays a standby image and activates the keyboard upon touch.

Precautions for Biometric Sensor and Keypad:

Caution for Bluetooth® Reader:

When powering up the Bluetooth® reader (BT1/BT2), ensure no objects or hands are within a 10 cm (3.94 in) radius around the reader.

Installation Precautions:
