Basic Information

This section provides an overview of the NimbleBack NB682 Pro keyboard and its included accessories.

Keyboard Layout

The NB682 Pro features a compact 60% layout. The primary keys include:

• Number row: 1 through 0, plus - and =.
• Letter keys: Q through P, A through L, Z through M.
• Modifier keys: Tab, Caps Lock, Shift, Ctrl, Win, Alt, Fn.
• Navigation/Function keys: Backspace, Enter, [, ], \, ;, ', ,, ., /, ↑, ↓, ←, →, PgUp, PgDn.
• Special keys: Esc, ~, `.

Included Accessories

• Keycap & Switch Puller: A tool for safely removing keycaps and switches.
• Type-C Cable: For wired connection and charging.

Connectivity Modes

Wired Mode

To use the keyboard in wired mode:

1. Ensure the power switch on the keyboard is set to the OFF position.
2. Connect the Type-C cable to the keyboard and then to your computer's USB port.

System Requirements for Wired Mode

• A computer with available USB ports.
• Compatible with Windows 2000 or above and macOS operating systems.

Bluetooth (BT) Mode

To use the keyboard via Bluetooth:

1. Slide the power switch to the ON position.
2. Pairing Mode: Long press Fn + Q, W, or E for three seconds. The keyboard will enter pairing mode.
3. On your device (computer, tablet, etc.), go to Bluetooth settings and search for devices.
4. Select "NB682 Pro" from the list of available devices to connect. The keyboard will be discoverable as "NB682 Pro".

Changing Bluetooth Channels

The NB682 Pro can connect to up to three Bluetooth devices. To switch between paired devices:

• Short press Fn + Q to connect to BT Device 1.
• Short press Fn + W to connect to BT Device 2.
• Short press Fn + E to connect to BT Device 3.

2.4G Mode

To use the keyboard via the 2.4GHz wireless dongle:

1. Slide the power switch to the ON position.
2. Plug the included USB Receiver (dongle) into your computer's USB port.
3. The keyboard should automatically connect.

Re-pairing the 2.4G Dongle

If the keyboard does not connect or you need to re-pair the dongle:

1. Long press Fn + R for three seconds. The keyboard will enter pairing mode (indicated by flashing lights on the R key).
2. Ensure the USB receiver is plugged into the computer.
3. Place the keyboard as closely as possible to the USB receiver for successful pairing.

Knob Function

The keyboard features a multi-functional rotary knob.

• Default Function:
  • Rotate clockwise: Volume+ ?
  • Rotate counter-clockwise: Volume- ?
  • Press the knob: Mute ?
• FN + Knob Press: Enter Screen Control Function.

  After pressing Fn and the knob simultaneously, you can use the knob to navigate through options:

  1. Turn the knob to select a section: Backlit, Screen, System, Language.
  2. Press the knob to confirm your selection.

Basic Control Functions

These functions are accessed using the Fn key in combination with other keys.

• Fn + \ : Backlight On/Off
• Fn + ↑ : Backlight Modes Switch
• Fn + ↓ : Backlight Colors Switch
• Fn + PgDn : Keyboard Display On/Off
• Fn + → : Backlight Speed +
• Fn + ← : Backlight Speed -
• Long Press Fn + Space : Restore Factory Mode

Multimedia Key Functions (Windows)

For Windows systems, press Fn + the specified key:

• Fn + ! (1): Display Brightness - ☀️
• Fn + @ (2): Display Brightness + ☀️
• Fn + # (3): Back to Desktop
• Fn + $ (4): Mission Control
• Fn + % (5): Backlight Brightness - ?
• Fn + ^ (6): Backlight Brightness + ?
• Fn + & (7): Last Song ⏪
• Fn + * (8): Play/Pause ▶️ / ⏸️
• Fn + ( (9): Next Song ⏩
• Fn + 0 : Mute ?
• Fn + - : Volume - ?
• Fn + = : Volume + ?
• Fn + Win : Win Lock ?

Multimedia Key Functions (macOS)

For macOS systems, press Fn + S, then the specified key:

• Fn + S + ! (1): Display Brightness - ☀️
• Fn + S + @ (2): Display Brightness + ☀️
• Fn + S + # (3): Back to Desktop
• Fn + S + $ (4): Mission Control
• Fn + S + % (5): Backlight Brightness - ?
• Fn + S + ^ (6): Backlight Brightness + ?
• Fn + S + & (7): Last Song ⏪
• Fn + S + * (8): Play/Pause ▶️ / ⏸️
• Fn + S + ( (9): Next Song ⏩
• Fn + S + 0 : Mute ?
• Fn + S + - : Volume - ?
• Fn + S + = : Volume + ?

Keyboard State & Battery Check

Check Battery Level (Wireless Modes):

Press and hold Fn + Backspace. The number keys will indicate the battery status:

• 100% Battery: Keys 1 through 0 are illuminated.
• 60% Battery: Keys 1 through 5 are illuminated.
• 30% Battery: Keys 1 through 3 are illuminated.

Connection Indicators

BT Mode: The Q, W, and E keys indicate the status of Bluetooth connections.

2.4G Mode: The R key indicates the status of the 2.4G connection.

Operating System Key Mapping

The keyboard can be optimized for different operating systems:

• Windows: Press Caps Lock + A.
• macOS: Press Caps Lock + S.

The Shift, Z, X, C keys may also have specific functions depending on the OS mode.
