Before connecting the panini grill to a power source, check whether the voltage indicated on the rating label corresponds with the mains voltage in your home. To protect against fire, electric shock, and personal injury, do not immerse the panini grill, power cord, or plug into water or other liquids. Never touch the power cord or plug with wet hands. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Call Customer Support on 1-855-926-2626 for immediate assistance. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock, or personal injury. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Always operate the panini grill on a dry, flat, heat-resistant surface. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use cool-touch handle. Do not use outdoors or for other than intended use. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children. This panini grill is not intended to be used by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory and/or mental capabilities. For crispy, golden brown sandwiches, spread a thin layer of butter or margarine on the outward-facing slices although this is not a requirement. 8 Lower the upper cooking plate carefully onto the bread until the panini grill is tightly clamped, then lock securely with the clip. 9 After 2-3 minutes, lift the cool-touch handle to check whether your sandwiches are sufficiently brown. The cooking time required to obtain crisp, golden brown sandwiches depends on the type of bread, fillings used, and your personal taste. 10 Once cooked, use a non-metallic utensil to remove. Do not use sharp or abrasive kitchen utensils to cut your sandwich while it is on the non-stick plates. 11 After use, unplug the panini grill from the outlet, and allow it to cool completely before cleaning or storing. 6 Add your filling onto each slice and then cover with a second slice of bread with the buttered side facing the upper cooking plate. Although there is room for two sandwiches, you can toast only one if needed. 6 12 Note: On first use, you may notice smoke and a slight odor. Wipe the plates with a sponge or cloth dampened in warm, soapy water. For stubborn grease, apply a small amount of cooking oil and leave on for several minutes. Remove with a paper towel. Wipe the plates with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal utensils. Wipe exterior surfaces with a damp cloth. Do not immerse in water or any other liquids.
