This 25-foot USB 2.0 Active Repeater Cable (Model U042-025) allows users to locate USB peripherals, such as printers, up to 25 feet away from their computer, overcoming the standard 5-meter USB distance limitation. It features an active repeater in the middle of the cable to maintain high-speed USB 2.0 signal integrity at 480Mbps. The cable is plug-and-play, compatible with Windows and MAC operating systems, and backward compatible with USB 1.1. It provides up to 150mA of power to the connected device. For devices requiring more than 150mA, an external power supply or a powered USB 2.0 hub is recommended.

System Requirements

A USB 2.0 port and USB 2.0 device (with Type B jack) are required to meet USB 2.0 speeds. A USB 1.1 port and/or device can be used, but USB 2.0 speeds will not be achieved.
The U042-025 provides up to 150mA of power to the connected device. If your device requires more than 150mA of power, it will either need to have its own power supply or be plugged into a powered USB 2.0 hub (such as U222-007-R) connected to the U042-025.
