For best results:

Download and Connect Tuya Smart App

Search for the "Tuya Smart" app (or "Smart Life" app, often compatible) on the iOS App Store or Android Google Play. Download and install the app. Register an account, log in, and ensure your mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi hotspot the weather station will use for pairing.

The app icon is typically a stylized "t" or similar.

Quick Setup Guide

  1. Insert batteries into the Wireless Outdoor Sensor and set the desired channel using the C6 switch.
  2. Plug the power cord into the weather station.
  3. Pair the weather station with Wi-Fi and server information following the prompts in the Tuya Smart app. Refer to the app's Wi-Fi pairing instructions.
  4. Configure basic settings such as time/date format and units within the app or on the station.
  5. Insert batteries into the weather station. Settings are retained even if power is lost.
  6. Place the remote sensor in its desired outdoor location after 5 minutes.

WIFI Pairing Process

After the weather station is powered on, it should automatically enter pairing mode, indicated by a flashing ? icon.

Manual Pairing: If automatic pairing mode is not entered, press and hold the ☀️/? button for more than 3 seconds.

Using the Tuya App:

  1. Open the Tuya app and tap the icon in the upper right corner.
  2. Select "Add Device". The app will search for devices.
  3. Click "Add" when the weather station is discovered.
  4. Follow the app prompts to select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password.
  5. Wait for the pairing process to complete (Step 5 to Step 6 in the app).
  6. Upon successful pairing (Step 7), the main interface will display, indicating connection.

Note: The Wi-Fi hotspot must be 2.4GHz. This product only supports 2.4GHz wireless networks.

Once paired, the weather station will connect to WLAN, automatically update the network time, and begin searching for remote wireless sensors. The ? icon will blink for approximately 3 minutes. If the outdoor sensor is working correctly, indoor temperature and humidity will be displayed on the main unit within 1-2 minutes.

Outdoor Sensor Transmission

The main unit can connect up to 3 wireless sensors. Each sensor must be assigned a unique channel (1, 2, or 3). You cannot use the same channel for multiple sensors simultaneously.

Press the CH button to cycle through and display data from different outdoor sensor channels.

If the main unit cannot receive transmission from an outdoor sensor, "--" will be displayed on the LCD for that channel. To manually receive a signal, press and hold the CH button for 3 seconds. The RF antenna icon will flash, and the base station will attempt to re-receive the signal.

Note: Ensure the channel selected on the wireless sensor matches the channel displayed on the base station for consistent readings.
