Before using the product, please read these instructions carefully and ensure that you keep them for future reference. Alternatively, you can find these instructions on our website at www.campsnapcamera.com/support.

Diagrams: The document includes illustrations of the camera's front, back, and charging port, along with a diagram of the Type-C charging cable.

Instructions:

  1. Shutter Button:

    • Press and hold the shutter button for approximately 2 seconds to power on the camera. A beep will sound, and the photo counter will display a number, indicating readiness to take photos.
    • Tap the shutter button to capture a photo. A shutter sound confirms the photo has been taken.
    • To power off the camera, press and hold the shutter button for approximately 2 seconds. A single beep will sound, and the photo counter will turn off.
  2. Flash Selector Switch:

    • Left: Flash ON.
    • Center: Flash OFF.
    • Right: Automatic flash. Use in low light settings.
  3. Automatic Shutdown:

    • The camera will automatically shut down after 10 minutes of inactivity to conserve battery.
  4. Charging The Camera:

    • Connect the camera to a charging block or computer's USB port using the USB-C cable.
    • A red light and a flashing "Chg" on the display indicate charging.
    • A green light and a static "Chg" on the display indicate charging is complete.
  5. Taking a Photo:

    • Ensure the camera is powered on (refer to step 1a).
    • Hold the camera steady and tap the shutter button. Keep the camera still until the shutter sound is heard.
    • For best results, maintain a distance of at least 3 feet from the subject, with the sun behind the photographer.
    • Use the flash in low light conditions or indoors.
  6. Photo View / Download:

    • Connect the camera to a computer using the data cable.
    • The display will show "Chg".
    • On your computer, open the file manager/finder and navigate to the "CAMPSNAP" folder.
    • Copy or view the files as needed.
    • Files can be deleted from the camera after copying.
    • The metadata date field can be changed after moving files (see below).
  7. Photo Storage Card:

    • The camera includes a pre-installed 4GB TF card, capable of storing approximately 2000 photos.
    • To remove the TF card: Unscrew the Phillips screw on the bottom, carefully remove the plastic covering, push the TF card in, and it will pop out.
    • To insert a TF card: Insert it into the slot with the gold contacts facing the camera lens until it clicks. Replace the plastic covering and the Phillips screw.
  8. Set the metadata date on the photo:

    • Unscrew the Phillips screw on the bottom of the camera and carefully remove the plastic. Three buttons will be visible for setting the time.
    • To set the date and time: Press and hold the MODE button to enter date setting mode. Use the UP and DOWN buttons to adjust the year, then press MODE to save. Repeat for month, day, hour, and minute until the photo count display returns to normal, indicating the setting is complete.

Note on Display: When the "S 2" display appears, it indicates the sound level: 0=mute, 1=small, 2=medium, 3=high.

NOTE:

The camera is an electronic product and is not waterproof. Do not expose the camera to liquids. Keep dry.

Troubleshoot

No Failure Fault Type Solution
A Will not power up Make sure camera is fully charged.
B Will not take photos 1. Download photos according to #5. 2. Format or replace TF card.
C Camera is frozen, will not shut down Press the reset button using a needle or toothpick.
