How to Assemble
- Remove the packing material.
- Place the handlebar into the stem of the Roadrunner. Do not tighten them into place yet; this step makes it easier to remove the scooter from the box.
- Lift the scooter from the box, open the kickstand, and place it on the ground.
- Locate the foot pegs and hex key set.
- Attach the foot pegs to either side of the scooter by twisting them into place until they are firm.
- With the handlebars positioned in the stem, insert a hex key and tighten the set screw until it is firm.
- Unlatch the metal folding mechanism on the handlebars and unfold them.
- There is a hook on the front side (rider facing) of the folding mechanism. Attach this side of the mechanism first, then press down on the metal clasp until it locks, securing the handlebars in place.
How to Charge
- To charge the scooter, plug the charger into an outlet, then insert the XLR connector into the charging port located on the battery.
- On the charger, there is an indicator light: red indicates charging, and green indicates fully charged. When the scooter is fully charged, the light will change from red to green.
Getting Started
- To power on the scooter, press the Power button on the top left of the LCD.
- To toggle between power modes, press the M (mode) button:
- 1 = low power
- 2 = medium power
- 3 = high power
- The Roadrunner has single and dual motor modes.
- Press the R button to engage the rear motor only.
- Press the I button to engage dual motors.
- The Roadrunner has a removable battery with a locking mechanism.
- To remove the battery, use the attached keys to unlock the battery.
- Grab the handle and apply slight downward pressure as you slide the battery out of the rear of the scooter.
Performance Settings
The RoadRunner has three (3) performance settings (p-settings). Below are the default and recommended settings. Please note that you should not be adjusting P1 or P2 unless you are reconfiguring the scooter. Adjust P3 to your preference to limit the speed of the scooter.
P-Setting | Function | Default | Recommended |
---|---|---|---|
P1 | Low Voltage Protection | 48 | 48 |
P2 | Rim Size (Tire Diameter) | 145 -> 14.5" | 145 |
P3 | Speed Limiter (7-25) | 15 kmph | User Pref |
How to Adjust P-Settings
- Power on the scooter.
- To access the P-setting menu, hold the power button and the mode (M) button for 1-2 seconds. The screen will display the current P-setting and its value, for example: P1 48.
- To cycle through the P-settings, tap the power button. You will see the value change from P1, to P2, to P3.
- To adjust a P-setting:
- Select the P-setting to change.
- Tap the mode button to toggle from the P-setting to the function setting (indicated in the lower right corner of the screen).
- To increase this value, tap the power button. There is no way to decrease the value directly using the buttons. To set a lower value than the current one, you must cycle up through all numbers until you reach 0, then continue cycling to your intended value.
- To save the P-Setting, long-press the power button to toggle back to the P-setting display, then long-press the power button again to return to the main menu.
- If you do not wish to save the settings, hold the mode (M) button to return to the main menu without saving changes.
