Yamaha PGM1 and PGX1 Dante Paging Stations
High-quality audio solutions for paging systems.
Overview
The PGM1 is a Dante-enabled paging station designed for high-quality, low-latency audio transmission over networks. It supports system expansion by connecting up to two PGX1 extension units (8 zones each) to a single PGM1 unit. Multiple PGM1 units can be integrated into a single system, allowing for the construction of large-scale paging systems with up to 96 zones by combining PGM1 and PGX1 units.
The MTX-MRX Editor software allows for the configuration of one PGM1 unit as a priority microphone within a multi-unit system. The PGM1 can be powered via PoE (Power over Ethernet) from devices like L2 switches from the SWR2100P series. The PGX1 receives power from the PGM1.

System Configuration
The PGM1 and PGX1 units are designed for flexible system integration. A single PGM1 can support up to two PGX1 units, expanding the zone coverage. Multiple PGM1 units can be networked together, allowing for comprehensive paging systems that can manage up to 96 zones in total when PGM1 and PGX1 units are combined.
Diagram Description:
The diagrams illustrate the physical dimensions and layout of the PGM1 and PGX1 units. The PGM1 features a gooseneck microphone with a total length of approximately 505±10mm (microphone element length 111±2mm). The main units have dimensions of 132mm width, 154mm depth, and a height of 56mm at the front, sloping upwards. The side profiles show a depth of 154mm, with a front height of 56mm and a rear height of 110mm, indicating a sloped design. The width is consistently 132mm. The diagrams also show connection ports and button layouts.
Connectivity and Power
Leveraging Dante technology, the PGM1 ensures high-quality audio transmission with minimal latency across a network. Power for the PGM1 can be supplied via PoE, simplifying installation by reducing the need for separate power cables. The PGX1 unit draws its power directly from the connected PGM1 unit.
Product Images Description
The product images showcase the Yamaha PGM1 and PGX1 paging stations. The PGM1 is depicted with its attached gooseneck microphone, highlighting its primary function as a paging microphone. The PGX1 is shown as an extension unit, featuring a panel of buttons for zone selection or control. Both units share a similar aesthetic design, consistent with Yamaha's audio equipment. The branding "YAMAHA" and "Dante™" are clearly visible.
