Installation Instructions

Follow these steps for proper installation:

Step 1: Preparation and Tooling

Ensure safety by wearing eye protection ? and hand protection ?. Utilize the KCM-MD-CB tool, which requires a diameter of ⌀ = 13/16" for attachment.

Step 2: Plate Alignment

Position the plate correctly onto the structural element. Incorrect angles are prohibited ?, as indicated by the visual guide.

Step 3: Fastener Assembly

Insert component 1, followed by fastener 2. Secure the plate by tightening the screws ?.

Step 4: Minimum Concrete Embedment

For concrete applications, the minimum embedment depth must be h_min = 3¼".

Step 5: Tube Insertion and Waste Management

Insert the support tube. Dispose of any waste materials responsibly ?️.

Step 6: Optional Torque Application

Optional: For specific applications, tighten the nut using a wrench to a maximum torque of 22 ft-lb ?.

Special Note for Seismic Bracing

When installing for seismic bracing applications, it is crucial to cut the support tube flush to the bottom of the metal deck.
