Quick Start: Install and Balance Smartphone
Before powering on, remove your smartphone case and place the smartphone onto the phone holder, ensuring it is centered.
Position the smartphone in the holder so it resists the motor, as shown in the illustration, to prevent vibration during use.
Loosen the balance knob and adjust the balance arm until the smartphone is in a nearly balanced condition.
Visuals depict correct smartphone balancing with the device centered and stable (indicated by checkmarks), and incorrect balancing with the phone off-center or tilted (indicated by crosses).

Connect to Bluetooth via Native Camera
With the gimbal powered on, enable Bluetooth on your smartphone. Navigate to your smartphone's Bluetooth settings and select the device name "GP5-xxxx" to connect.
Instruction for Four Modes
All Follow (AF): The Roll axis is locked. The Pan axis (left/right) and Tilt axis (up/down) follow the movement of the handle. This is the default mode upon powering on.
Half Follow (HF): Tilt and Roll axes are locked. The Pan axis rotates smoothly (left/right) with the handle.
Lock Full (LF): Pan, Tilt, and Roll axes are all locked. The camera remains still and stable, unable to follow handle movements.
First Person View (FPV): Pan, Tilt, and Roll axes follow the movement of the handle.
Phone Go Mode: Long press the shutter button until the AF light flashes to enter Phone Go mode. Release the shutter button to exit.
Diagrams illustrate the gimbal's three axes (Tilt, Roll, Pan) and show how they move in different operational modes (All Follow, Half Follow, Lock Full, First Person View). Icons representing these modes are also shown.

Illustrations show the gimbal in horizontal orientation, with an arrow indicating pressing the power button three times to switch to vertical mode, and vice-versa.
Way 2: Gesture Switch
- Hold the gimbal perpendicular to the ground.
- Tilt the gimbal left or right by 70 degrees.
A sequence of images demonstrates gesture control for switching modes: holding the gimbal perpendicular, then tilting it left or right.
Way 3: Rotate the Smartphone Clamp
- Loosen the clamp knob.
- Rotate the smartphone clamp by 90 degrees.
- Tighten the clamp knob.
Images show the process of loosening a clamp knob, rotating the smartphone clamp by 90 degrees, and then tightening the knob to switch between horizontal and vertical smartphone mounting.
Charging
Charge for Gimbal: Connect the input port to a power source.
Charge for Smartphone: Connect the output port to the smartphone. Note: When the smartphone is mounted horizontally, an L-type charging connector may be required.
Illustrations show the gimbal connected to a charger for the gimbal itself, and another showing a smartphone connected to the gimbal's output port for charging.
