Table of Contents
This section lists the contents of the manual, which are covered in the following HTML structure.
Waterproof Vehicle with Waterproof Electronic Components
Your new Horizon Hobby vehicle has been designed and manufactured by combining waterproof and water-resistant components, allowing you to use this product in various "Wet Conditions," including puddles, streams, wet grass, snow, and even rain. Although the vehicle has high water resistance, it is not completely waterproof, and your vehicle should NOT be used as a submarine. The various electronic components installed on the vehicle, such as the electronic speed controller (ESC), servo(s), and receiver, are waterproof. However, most mechanical components are resistant to water spray but should not be submerged. Metal parts such as bearings, suspension shafts, screws, nuts, and electrical connector contacts are exposed to oxidation if additional maintenance is not performed after use in wet conditions. To maintain your vehicle's performance and warranty long-term, the procedures described in the "Maintenance in Wet Conditions" section must be performed regularly if you drive in wet conditions. If you do not wish to perform the required additional maintenance, you should not use the vehicle in these conditions.
CAUTION: Failure to exercise care during operation and failure to follow the following instructions may result in product malfunction and/or void the warranty.
General Precautions
- Read the maintenance procedures for wet conditions carefully and ensure you have all the necessary tools to maintain the vehicle.
- Not all batteries can be used in wet conditions. Consult your battery manufacturer's documentation before use. Precautions must be taken when using Li-Po batteries in wet conditions.
- Most transmitters are not resistant to water spray. Consult your transmitter's manual or manufacturer before use.
- Never operate your transmitter or vehicle during a storm.
- NEVER use your vehicle where it could come into contact with saltwater (seawater or road salt water), or polluted or contaminated water.
- A small amount of water can reduce the motor's lifespan if it is not certified waterproof or splash-resistant. If the motor becomes excessively wet, apply light throttle to expel as much water as possible from the motor. Running a wet motor at high speed will cause rapid damage.
- Operation in wet conditions can reduce the motor's lifespan. Water resistance causes increased strain. Adjust the gear ratio by using a smaller pinion or a larger spur gear. This will increase torque (and motor life) when driving in mud, deep puddles, or any other wet condition, increasing the load on the motor.
Maintenance in Wet Conditions
To maintain your vehicle after driving in wet conditions:
- Drain water collected by the tires by spinning them at high speed. Remove the body, turn the vehicle upside down, and give short bursts of full throttle until water is expelled.
- CAUTION: Always keep hands, fingers, tools, or other loose/hanging objects away from rotating parts.
- Remove the battery and dry its contacts. If you have an air compressor or compressed air can, blow out any moisture from the connector.
- Remove the vehicle's wheels and rinse them with a spray bottle to remove mud and dirt. Avoid rinsing the bearings and drivetrain.
- NOTE: Never use a high-pressure cleaner to clean the vehicle.
- Use an air compressor or compressed air can to dry the vehicle and help remove water trapped in crevices and corners.
- Spray lubricant or moisture displacer on bearings, screws, or other metal parts. Do not spray on the motor.
- Allow the vehicle to dry before storing it. Water (and oil) may continue to drip for several hours.
- Increase the frequency of inspection, disassembly, and lubrication of the following components:
- Wheel shafts and bearings of the front and rear spindles.
- All drivetrain cases, gears, and differentials.
- Motor: Clean it with motor cleaner spray and lubricate the bearings with bearing lubricant.

Transmitter Layout
Use the diagram below to familiarize yourself with the different parts of your transmitter. The transmitter's antenna is internally mounted and located in the front of the transmitter. When driving your model, hold the transmitter so it is oriented as vertically as possible. Do not try to follow your model with the transmitter. This provides the best RF signal between the transmitter and receiver. Do not cover the front of the transmitter during use, as this will block the RF signal, causing a loss of control.
Controls:
- Steering Wheel: Turn left or right to steer the vehicle.
- Throttle Control: Pull forward to accelerate, push backward to reverse.
- Steering Trim: Adjust so the vehicle drives straight without any steering input from the wheel.
- Throttle Trim Button: Adjusts the throttle control rate.
- Dual Rate Steering: Adjusts the total steering throw.
- Bind Button: Used for binding the transmitter to the receiver.
- Power Switch: Turns the transmitter on/off.

Transmitter and Receiver Binding
Binding is the process of programming the receiver to recognize a specific transmitter signal, thereby preventing interference from other transmitters. The transmitter and receiver included with your vehicle are factory-bound. If you need to re-bind them, follow the instructions below.
NOTE: Do not attempt to bind the transmitter and receiver if other compatible transmitters are in bind mode within approximately 120m (400ft). This action could result in an unintended bind to the wrong transmitter and loss of control of your vehicle.
Before starting the binding procedure, ensure that the servos and motor are connected to the correct ports on the receiver, and that charged batteries have been installed in the transmitter. Always place the transmitter in bind mode first, followed by the receiver.
- Turn on the transmitter while holding down the bind button. The G LED will flash rapidly.
- Release the bind button.
- Turn on the receiver. The receiver will enter bind mode after approximately one second.
When binding is successful, the receiver LED will illuminate solid, and the transmitter's G LED will turn off.
