Important Warnings
Before using this sensor, please read the following instructions carefully:
- Never use hard tools or sharp objects on the sensor's black surface.
- Do not open or modify the sensor in any way.
- Do not attempt to repair the sensor (microphone) yourself. Contact TAP for assistance.
- Before connecting this sensor to other devices (e.g., consoles, amplifiers), ensure the power to all units is turned off. This prevents malfunctions and potential damage to speakers or other equipment.
Maintenance
The sensor is designed for easy cleaning and drying. Simply unscrew the sensor for simple and perfect drying. It is recommended to remove the sensor from the instrument when not in use. Dry the sensor gently with a soft piece of paper.
Installation
The sensor requires an adapter to be installed on the instrument's barrel (for clarinet) or mouthpiece (for saxophone).
Installation Steps:
- Prepare the Instrument: Drill a hole of approximately 7.3mm (or 7.2mm) on the clarinet barrel or saxophone mouthpiece.
- Create Thread: Create a thread using a tapping tool, typically an M(8x125) thread.
- Secure Adapter: Screw and securely fasten the provided adapter into the prepared hole.
- Install Microphone: Install the microphone sensor using the provided rubber rings for a secure fit.
The connection is designed for safety and ease of use.
