Basic Operations:

• Power on/off: Press and hold the power button for over 3 seconds.

Work preparation before use:

1. Charge the device: Ensure sufficient power. Use the dedicated charging cable. It is recommended to charge for 1 hour or until the battery is sufficient before turning on. The charging logo and battery percentage will be displayed during charging.
2. Network connection: Connect to a network via Settings > WLAN for optimal performance. Supports WIFI or mobile phone hotspots.

Scan operation:

• Hold the device at a 70-90 degree angle to the plane, aligning the front sight with the text's centerline.
• Press the pen tip; when the light turns on, scan at a constant speed, keeping the pen tip light illuminated.
• Start scanning from a blank space before the text and lift the pen after passing the last text.
• View results and interact with on-screen options.

Offline use:

Dictionary and offline scanning translation functions are available without an internet connection. Online connection is recommended for better results.

Status Information:

The top of the screen displays status information like WIFI, power, and charging status.

Scan Translation

• Select the source and target languages before scanning.
• Results are displayed automatically. Tap a word for details. Use the voice icons to play scanned or translated content. Tap to favorite or follow along.

Voice Translation

Supports 112 languages online voice translation (with potential for more via software updates).

• Select the primary (blue) and secondary (red) languages in the voice translation interface.
• Long press the button near the pen tip for the blue microphone (primary language). Long press the other button for the red microphone (secondary language). Release after speaking. Results are displayed and played.

Photo Translation

Supports multi-language photo translation for translating text from images.

• Before taking a picture, select the text language and the desired translation language.
• After translation, the original photo is displayed on the left and the translated text on the right.

Dictionary

Includes 6 dictionaries: Chinese to English, English to Chinese, English to Japanese, Chinese idioms, and Tang poetry.

• Enter a word to query, click Search for translation, and bookmark words.

Smart Recording

Supports recording to text in up to 100 languages.

• Click "Build record" to add a recording.

Text Excerpt

Allows synchronization of scanned text.

• Select text excerpt function. Choose whether to synchronize.
• If synchronizing, click "Yes" to display a QR code and web address for mobile or PC synchronization. Click "No" to skip.

System Settings

Precautions

• Do not operate during program download, installation, or restart when upgrading.
• Connect to a network for better performance; network quality affects usage.
• Scan with the device inclined at 70-90 degrees, aiming the front sight at the text's center. Re-scan if recognition is inaccurate.
• Start scanning from a blank space before the text and lift the pen after the last letter.
• For voice translation, maintain a distance of within 30cm between mouth and device MIC for best results.
• Speak coherently at a normal speed without excessive pauses for accurate translation.
• Pronounce as standardly as possible; avoid mantras or slang.
• Verify recognition results on screen and manually edit if errors occur.
• If words are recognized correctly but translation is inaccurate, rephrase your expression.

Exception Handling

Forced shutdown: If the device is unresponsive or crashes, press and hold the power button for over 15 seconds to force shutdown and restart.
