Assembly Instructions
Inlet Side Assembly
Step 1: Prepare Threads
Begin by wrapping all pipe threads with the provided thread seal tape in a clockwise rotation. This action prevents the tape from unraveling during assembly.
Step 2: Attach Nipple to Flow Restrictor
Hold the 3/4" Flow Restrictor in one hand. Attach one of the 2" Nipples to the other side of the flow restrictor.
Step 3: Attach Elbow and Nipple
Thread a 3/4" Female to Female Elbow onto the 2" nipple and hand tighten. Attach the second 2" Nipple to the other side of this elbow.
Step 4: Attach Union
Thread one of the 3/4" Unions onto the end of the second 2" nipple.
Step 5: Attach 3" Nipple and Second Elbow
Thread the 3" Nipple into the 3/4" Union. Connect the second 3/4" Female to Female Elbow to the 3" nipple. The inlet side assembly is now complete.
Outlet Side Assembly
Step 1: Attach Street Elbows to Union
Take the remaining 3/4" Union. Attach one of the 3/4" Street Elbows to one side of the union. Attach the second 3/4" Street Elbow to the other side of the union, turning it to a 90-degree angle.
Step 2: Attach Hose Barb
Thread the 3/4" Hose Barb onto the end of the assembled street elbow. The outlet side assembly is now complete.
Install Inlet and Outlet Assemblies to Dosatron
Step 1: Prepare Dosatron Threads
Before installing the assemblies, wrap the inlet and outlet threads of the Dosatron injector with thread seal tape.
Step 2: Attach Inlet Assembly
Pick up the completed inlet assembly. Attach the end with the flow restrictor to the inlet side of the Dosatron injector. Note the direction of the flow arrow on the Dosatron. Hand tighten.
Step 3: Attach Outlet Assembly
Pick up the completed outlet assembly. Attach the union to the outlet side of the Dosatron injector. Note the direction of the flow arrow on the Dosatron. Hand tighten. Both assemblies are now installed onto the Dosatron.
Install SS Bracket on Cart (Part #: HS25)
Note: The Stainless Steel (SS) Bracket and associated hardware are provided with the 25-Gallon cart (Part #: HS25) and are not part of the HSPK25COOLKIT.
Included Hardware (for Cart):
- 6 - 1/4", 20 x 1 3/4" Hex Cap Stainless Screws
- 6 - 1/4", 20 NE Nyl. Ins. Locknuts
- 6 - 1/4" x 5/8" OD Flat Washers
- 1 - SS Bracket for Mounting Dosatron Unit
Step 1: Align and Insert Bolts
Align the 6 holes on the stainless steel bracket with the pre-drilled holes on the cart handle. Insert the bolts provided with the cart. Important: One hole on the bracket is larger than the other five; do not place a bolt in this larger hole yet.
Step 2: Attach Hose Support Clamp
Take the 3/4" Stainless Steel Support Clamp provided in the hook-up kit. Place the remaining bolt (the one not used in the larger bracket hole) through the hole on the hose support clamp, and then through the remaining larger hole on the bracket.
Step 3: Secure with Washers and Locknuts
From the underside of the cart handle, install one flat washer and one locking nut onto each of the six bolts. Ensure not to overtighten the nuts.
Install Hook-Up Kit to Cart
Step 1: Attach Dosatron Bracket to Cart
Attach the Dosatron bracket (now secured with the SS bracket and hose clamp) to the cart using the screws and hardware provided with the cart. Use a Phillips head screwdriver and a box or crescent wrench to tighten the screws securely.
Step 2: Thread Velcro Strap
Thread the Velcro strap through the designated slits in the bracket assembly.
Step 3: Mount Unit and Assemblies
Install the Dosatron unit and its connected assemblies onto the cart. Position the inlet side on the right side of the cart, with the Dosatron arrow pointing left. You may need to slightly adjust the inlet and outlet assemblies to align correctly with the brackets on the cart.
Final Plumbing Connections
Step 1: Attach Stainless Steel Adapter
Wrap thread seal tape around the threads of the stainless steel hose adapter supplied with the cart. Install the stainless steel adapter parts by placing one washer on the inside of the cart bracket and one on the outside. Thread the stainless steel hose adapter onto the outlet elbow and tighten with a box or crescent wrench for a snug fit.
Step 2: Connect Hose to Hose Barb
Place one hose clamp over one end of the 10' hose. Attach this end to the 3/4" Hose Barb. Tighten the hose clamp with a flat head screwdriver.
Step 3: Secure Hose with Support Clamp
Spread the 3/4" Stainless Steel Support Clamp on the cart. Attach the hose assembly to the hose barb using the clamp. Tighten the clamp with a flat head screwdriver. Use the hardware provided with the cart to tighten the support clamp.
Step 4: Attach Hose to Gas Style Nozzle
Place the second hose clamp over the other end of the 10' hose. Attach this end to the Gas Style Nozzle. Tighten the hose clamp with a flat head screwdriver.
Step 5: Connect Injection Pickup Hose
To attach the injection pickup hose (not included in this kit), place the strainer onto the hose and drop it into the top of the cart tank. Thread the hose up through the hole on the top of the cart. Attach a hose clamp to the hose. Thread the hose and clamp onto the Dosatron barb (typically located on the Dosatron injector's suction inlet). Tighten the clamp with a flat head screwdriver.
