Disassembly and Component Replacement

This manual provides instructions for servicing the Wet Sounds REV12HD audio speaker.

Grill Removal

To remove the grill, first remove four (4) hex screws using a 3mm hex driver.

Next, remove four (4) Phillips screws securing the LED Ring in place using a P2 screwdriver.

Speaker Removal

After removing the LED Ring, an additional set of four (4) Phillips screws must be removed.

With all screws removed, turn the tower speaker over. The weight of the driver will assist in removing it from the housing.

RGB Wire Management

Ensure the notch for the RGB wire is noted during removal and installation. The RGB wire sits in a notch in the housing that aligns with a notch on the mid-bass driver. Proper alignment ensures the LED wire passes through correctly.

Driver Disconnection

Unplug the 2-pin adapter connected to the driver.

With the driver facing down, locate and remove three (3) small Phillips screws using a P0 screwdriver.

Disconnect the positive and negative wires.

Crossover and HLCD Access

Once the crossover is removed, the HLCD (High-Frequency Compression Driver) housing the diaphragm will be visible. There are four (4) 3mm Allen screws securing the cover.

The HLCD is mounted to a plate secured to the back of the REV12 Mid bass driver with four (4) hex screws. A 4mm hex driver is required for removal.

Diaphragm Replacement

If only the diaphragm needs replacement, it can be swapped out directly.

To remove the mounting plate, remove the four (4) 4mm hex screws. This will expose the four (4) Phillips screws holding the HLCD to the plate.

Reassembly

With the mounting plate removed, the mid-bass driver can be swapped. Reassemble the unit in reverse order.
