Download and Install the App

To use the SmartLife-SmartHome app, follow these steps:

For Android Smartphones:

  1. Method 1: Scan the QR code with a browser scanner to download and install the app.
  2. Method 2: Open the Google Play Store on your smartphone, search for "SmartLife-SmartHome", download, and install the app.

For iOS Smartphones:

  1. Method 1: Scan the QR code and follow the prompts to get into the App Store, download, and install the app.
  2. Method 2: Open the Apple App Store on your smartphone, search for "SmartLife-SmartHome", download, and install the app.

Note: Please enable the permissions for Storage, Location, and Camera for this app during installation. Otherwise, you may encounter issues during operation.

Activate the App

The first time the app is used, it will require activation.

  1. Launch the app "SmartLife-SmartHome" on your smartphone.
  2. Method 1: Tap the "Scan" button and scan the provided QR code for activation.
  3. Method 2: Tap "or Enter Activation Code" at the bottom of the screen, enter the activation code, and tap "CONFIRM".

Note: Without the QR code or activation code, you cannot activate and use the app. Please keep them safe.

Registration

If you do not have an account, please follow these steps:

  1. Tap the "Register" button.
  2. Read the Privacy Policy and tap "Agree".
  3. Tap ">" to choose your country.
  4. Enter your email address.
  5. Tap the "Obtain verification code" button.
  6. Enter the verification code received from your email.
  7. Set a password with 6-20 characters, including letters and numbers.
  8. Tap "Done".

Login

To log in to your account:

  1. Tap "Log in with existing account".
  2. Enter your registered account (email address) and password.
  3. Tap the "Log in" button.

Forgot Password

If you forgot your password or wish to reset it:

  1. Tap "Forgot password".
  2. Enter your account (email address) and tap "Obtain verification code".
  3. Enter the verification code received by email.
  4. Set a new password and tap "Done".

Create Family

The first time the app is used, creating a family is necessary:

  1. Tap "Create family".
  2. Name your family.
  3. Set the location.
  4. Choose default rooms or add new rooms.
  5. Tap "Done" and then "Completed".

Note: The app can open the map on your phone to set your current location.

Add Device

There are two modes for adding devices: CF (Quick Connection) and AP (Access Point).

CF Mode:

  1. Power on the indoor unit. No need to launch the air conditioner app initially.
  2. Click "+" in the upper right corner of the "Home" screen or tap "Add device" on a room without a device.
  3. Tap the "Split Air conditioner" logo.
  4. Input your Wi-Fi password (the same as your smartphone's connection) and tap "Next".
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to reset the Wi-Fi module, then check "Confirm the device is reset" and tap "Next".
  6. You will see the connection progress percentage. "PP" indicates "Searching the router", "SA" indicates "connected to the router", and "AP" indicates "connected to the server".

AP Mode:

  1. Power on the indoor unit.
  2. Click "+" in the upper right corner of the "Home" screen or tap "Add device" on a room without a device.
  3. Tap the "Split Air Conditioner" logo.
  4. Input your Wi-Fi password and tap "Next".
  5. Tap "AP Mode" in the upper right corner. Follow the on-screen instructions to reset the Wi-Fi module, check "Confirm the device is reset", and tap "Next".
  6. Read the instructions carefully and tap "Connect now".
  7. In the network setting screen, select "SmartLife-****" and tap "←".
  8. You will see the connection progress percentage.

Note: If your Wi-Fi is 5GHz, please set it to 2.4GHz. Common router setting methods apply.

Note: For some models, you may need to reset the device first. Refer to the specific instructions for your model (e.g., pressing the DISPLAY or ECO key multiple times).

After adding the device, you can rename it and select its location room.

Air Conditioner Control

The device control screen will appear automatically after adding the device, or manually by tapping the device name on the home screen.

Control Form 1

This form provides a circular temperature control interface.

Control Form 2

This form offers a more detailed control interface with function buttons at the bottom.

Device Details and Management

Access the device details screen by tapping on Control Form 1 or Control Form 2.

How to Share Devices

  1. Tap "Device Sharing" and then "Add Sharing".
  2. Select the region and enter the account to share with.
  3. Tap "Completed". The account will appear on your sharing list.
  4. Sharing members should refresh the device list to see the shared device.

Note: Hold the bar for about 3 seconds to delete a sharing account.

Home (Family) Management

  1. Tap the home name or "Me" to access Home Management.
  2. Select a family to enter Family Settings.
  3. Set family details: Rename the family, manage rooms, set family location, and manage family members (add/remove).

Note: Tap "Add family" and refer to page 6 to add a new family.

Troubleshooting

Description Analysis of Cause
Air conditioner can't be configured successfully
  1. Check if the mobile connected WLAN router SSID and password are correct.
  2. Check additional WLAN router settings: Firewall, MAC address filtering, Hidden SSID, DHCP server.
Reboot the WLAN router, mobile device, and air conditioner. Connect using CF mode, ensuring no other device is connected.
Mobile can't control air conditioner
  1. If the app displays "Device remove" after rebooting, ignoring this confirmation will lead to loss of control. Reconnect using CF mode.
  2. After a power failure, control may be lost for 3 minutes. If control is still lost after power restoration, reconnect using CF mode.
Mobile can't find air conditioner
  1. Check if the app shows "Device offline". Verify: Air conditioner reconfigured, out of power, router out of power, connection issues to router or network, mobile device network connection.
  2. If the device disappears from the list after adding, refresh the list by sliding down. If it persists, shut down and restart the app.
