Assembling the Wi-Fi USB Dongle
To assemble the Wi-Fi USB Dongle:
- Insert the Wi-Fi USB Dongle into the USB port on the back of the IP phone.

Connecting the IP Phone to an Available Wireless Network
To manually connect your IP phone to an available wireless network (using the SIP-T48G IP phone as an example):
After the phone powers on and the system boots up, you can connect it to a wireless network.
- Insert the Wi-Fi USB Dongle WF40 into the USB port on the back of the phone when the phone is idle.
- The touch screen will prompt: "Wi-Fi adapter has been added, scanning the available wireless network right now?".
- Tap OK to activate Wi-Fi mode directly and scan for Wi-Fi devices automatically.
- (Optional) To re-scan for available networks, tap the Scan soft key.
- Tap the desired wireless network to connect your IP phone.
- Alternatively, tap the [menu] icon (represented by ...) next to the desired wireless network, and then tap Connect.
- If the network is secure, enter its password in the Pin field.
- Tap OK.
Upon successful connection, a "Connect Success." prompt will appear next to the SSID. You can also configure the Wi-Fi feature via the path: Basic > Wi-Fi.
Note: Please contact your network administrator for the Wi-Fi password.
Disabling Wi-Fi Feature on the IP Phone
To disable the Wi-Fi feature, follow one of these steps (using the SIP-T48G IP phone as an example):
- Tap [menu] > Basic > Wi-Fi.
- Select the Off radio button in the Wi-Fi field.
- Unplug the Wi-Fi USB dongle from the IP phone.
These actions will disable the Wi-Fi feature on the IP phone.
Troubleshooting
Why can't the IP phone connect to the wireless network?
- Ensure the network is secure and the entered password is correct.
- Verify that your gateway/router has the wireless network feature enabled.
- Reboot your gateway/router.
- Turn the Wi-Fi feature on the IP phone off and then on again.
Why is the wireless signal strength low?
- Ensure the IP phone and your gateway/router are within the optimal working range.
- Check for obvious interference (e.g., walls, doors) between the IP phone and the gateway/router.
Why can't the Wi-Fi feature be enabled?
- Confirm the Wi-Fi USB dongle is not physically damaged.
- Ensure the Wi-Fi USB dongle is properly assembled and successfully detected by the phone.
