Introduction
This guide provides essential information for setting up and using your Meta Quest Compact Charging Dock.
Components
The charging dock system includes:
- Compact Charging Dock (1)
- Controller charging cradles (2)
- Rechargeable controller batteries (included)
- Extended power adapter cable (4)
- Headset charging cable (5)

Setting Up Controllers
To prepare your controllers for charging:
- Press the [eject button] on each controller to open the battery cover.
- Remove any existing batteries.
- Install the included rechargeable controller batteries.
- Replace the battery covers.

Connecting to Power
To connect the charging dock to a power source:
- Connect the extended power adapter cable to the USB-C port with the [power icon] symbol located underneath the base of the dock.
Note: A power adapter is not included. A minimum 18W power adapter is required; 45W is recommended.

Connecting to Headset
To connect your headset for charging:
- Connect the headset charging cable to the USB-C port with the [headset icon] symbol located underneath the base of the dock.

Charging and Status Indicators
Place your controllers into the charging cradles. The status lights on the controllers indicate their charging status:
- Orange light: Charging
- Green light: Fully charged
- Light off: Not charging or no power
Charging Positions
- Ensure controllers are correctly docked in the cradles for charging. Illustration shows a controller correctly seated in a charging cradle.
- If using Active Straps (sold separately), ensure they do not block the contact between the controllers and the charging cradles. Illustration shows a controller with an active strap, emphasizing that the strap must not obstruct the charging connection.
Software Updates
If a software update is available (indicated by a notification from the headset), ensure both the headset and the power adapter remain connected to the dock.
Troubleshooting Update Failures
If an update fails (indicated by dock status lights):
- Press the reset button located under the base (above the [power icon]) using a dull, pointed object.
- While holding the reset button, reinsert the power adapter cable into the dock's USB-C port.

Care and Cleaning
Wipe the charging dock with a clean, non-abrasive cloth.
