Installation and Setup

The Base Station needs to be powered with the included power adapter constantly.

Important Installation Considerations:

  • Do not install the camera near a heat source.
  • Ensure there is no reflecting object within 5 feet (1.5 meters) range in front of the PIR sensor, otherwise, the PIR might be interfered.
  • Avoid installing the camera on a busy roadside, as frequent pedestrians and vehicles will wake up the camera frequently, resulting in frequent alarm messages and rapid power consumption.
  • Do not install the camera too far from the base station; the product needs to maintain good signal strength to work properly.
  • When the camera is connected to the base station, the camera's SD card slot will be disabled, and all videos will be recorded on the base station's memory card.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQS)

General Operation & Performance

  • Q: If the phone receives alarm messages too frequently, what should I do?
A: The camera will consume battery power greatly. It is recommended to lower the motion detection sensitivity, set the alarm interval, and start the alarm plan.
  • Q: If there are no moving objects in the alarm picture that the phone frequently receives, what could be the cause?
A: It may be that there is a sensitive heat source in the motion detection range, which causes the PIR to be triggered by mistake. It is recommended to lower the motion detection sensitivity.
  • Q: If someone is passing by the camera but no alarm message is received, what should I do?
A: It is recommended to increase the motion detection sensitivity.
  • Q: If the alarm picture or video is delayed, or only the back of people is visible, what should I do?
A: It is recommended to increase the motion detection sensitivity.
  • Q: How does ambient temperature affect the PIR sensor?
A: The PIR sensor can be disturbed by ambient temperature. It is recommended to increase the motion detection sensitivity in a hot environment and decrease it in a cold environment. At the same time, when the temperature is extremely low, heavy clothes can hinder PIR sensor detection.

Device Status & Connectivity

The device prompts offline?

  1. Check if the equipment is in the power-on state and observe if the working light is on normally.
  2. Check if the router network is in good condition and restart the router.
  3. Delete the device from your ARCCTV account and add it again after resetting the device.
  4. Check if the device firmware and application program are the latest version.

Alarm push frequently?

  1. In the app, lower the sensitivity of the motion detection alarm.
  2. Check for objects that interfere with and trigger the PIR sensor in the field of view of the equipment, such as the outdoor unit of the air conditioner, driving cars, passing pedestrians, etc. Adjust the device's angle appropriately to avoid these easily disturbing objects.

The phone cannot receive the alarm push?

  1. Set in the mobile phone system and enable the push permission for the "ARCCTV" application.
  2. Make sure the device's motion detection function is successfully turned on.
  3. Restart the phone. For Android phones, try clearing the cache.
  4. Check if the network is good.
