General Product Information

The Equipment Under Test (EUT) is an ordinary self-ballasted LED lamp for lighting and similar use. For further information, refer to the user's manual.

Ratings and System Details

Independent Operation Modes

The basic operation modes are "ON" and "OFF". The test modes used were:

Highest Frequency Generated or Used

The highest frequency used in the EUT is 2480 MHz.

Submitted Documents

Circuit diagram, user's manual, and rating label were submitted.

Test Set-up and Operation Modes

Principle of Configuration Selection: The EUT was configured to measure its highest possible emission level. Test conditions were adapted according to the instructions for use.

Sequence of Testing:

  1. Conducted emission tests: 2025-01-20
  2. Radiated emission tests: 2025-01-18 to 2025-02-07

Equipment and Cable Arrangement

Conducted Emission Setup: The setup includes the EUT, LISN (Line Impedance Stabilization Network), EMI receiver, Computer, Transformer, and Power Supply. The EUT is placed on a wooden support 0.8m away from the AMN. Excess cable length is folded to form a bundle of 0.3-0.4m.

Radiated Emission Setup (30-1000 MHz): The setup involves the EUT on a turntable, an antenna at a distance of 3m, and absorbers. The antenna height is varied from 1m to 4m, and the turntable rotates 360° to find maximum disturbance. The antenna is tested in both horizontal and vertical polarizations.

Radiated Emission Setup (1-18 GHz): Similar to the 30-1000 MHz setup, but within an absorber-lined semi-anechoic chamber, with the antenna at 3m distance from the EUT.

Test Software

The "Home" APP for iPhone was used.

Countermeasures to achieve EMC Compliance

No special countermeasures were employed during the tests.

Conformity Decision Rule

For all EMI tests, compliance is determined by comparing measurement results directly with limits, as measurement uncertainties are less than the values specified in CISPR 16-4-2.

Test Results EMISSION

Emission in the Frequency Range up to 30 MHz

Conducted emission

Result: Passed

Date of Testing: 2025-04-11

Test Procedure: FCC 47 CFR Part 15, Subpart B:2023, ICES-005:2018, ICES-003:2020, ANSI C63.4-2014 and CISPR 16-2-1

Frequency Range: 0.15 – 30 MHz

Limits:

Bandwidth of EMI receiver: 9 kHz

Measurement Time: 1 s

Kind of Test Site: Shielded room

Input Voltage: AC 120 V, 60 Hz

Operational Modes Tested: Mode 1 (Warm max), Mode 2 (Warm min), Mode 3 (White max), Mode 4 (White min).

Ambient Condition: Temperature: 20.1 °C; Relative humidity: 49.5 %

Expanded Measurement Uncertainty (k=2): 2.33 dB

The minimum margin to the limit was 5.29 dB at 0.156750 MHz. The margin is higher than the expanded measurement uncertainty.

The measurement setup followed ANSI C63.4-2014 in a shielded room. Test equipment complies with CISPR 16-1 standards. The disturbance voltage was tested on the neutral and phase lines.

Radiated emission (30-1000 MHz)

Result: Passed

Date of Testing: 2025-04-11

Test Procedure: FCC 47 CFR Part 15, Subpart B:2023, ICES-005:2018, ICES-003:2020, ANSI C63.4-2014 and CISPR 16-2-3

Product Classification: Class B

Frequency Range: 30 – 1000 MHz

Limits (3 m distance):

Bandwidth of EMI receiver: 120 kHz

Measurement Time: 1 s

Kind of Test Site: Semi-anechoic chamber

Input Voltage: AC 120 V, 60 Hz

Operational Modes Tested: Mode 1 (Warm max), Mode 2 (Warm min), Mode 3 (White max), Mode 4 (White min).

Ambient Condition: Temperature: 19.2 °C; Relative humidity: 51.3 %

Expanded Measurement Uncertainty (k=2): 5.40 dB

The minimum margin to the limit was 10.1 dB at 33.758750 MHz. The margin is higher than the expanded measurement uncertainty.

The test was performed in a semi-anechoic chamber at a distance of 3m. The EUT was placed on an 80 cm wooden support, rotated 360°, and the antenna height was varied from 1m to 4m. Tests were conducted with the antenna in horizontal and vertical polarizations.

Radiated Emission (1-18 GHz)

Result: Passed

Date of Testing: 2025-04-10

Port: Enclosure

Test Procedure: FCC 47 CFR Part 15, Subpart B:2023, ICES-005:2018, ICES-003:2020, ANSI C63.4-2014 and CISPR 16-2-3

Product Classification: Class B

Limits (3 m distance):

Frequency Range: 1 – 18 GHz

Kind of Test Site: Absorber-lined semi-anechoic chamber

Test Distance: 3 m

Test Voltage: AC 120 V, 60 Hz

Operational Modes Tested: Mode 1 (Warm max), Mode 2 (Warm min), Mode 3 (White max), Mode 4 (White min).

Ambient Condition: Temperature: 19.2 °C; Relative humidity: 51.3 %

Expanded Measurement Uncertainty (k=2): 5.17 dB (1 GHz~6 GHz), 5.12 dB (6 GHz~18 GHz)

The minimum margin to the limit was 15.6 dB at 4952.500000 MHz. The margin is higher than the expanded measurement uncertainty.

The test was performed in an absorber-lined semi-anechoic chamber at 3m distance. The EUT was placed on an 80 cm supporting table, rotated 360°, and the antenna height was varied from 1m to 4m. Tests were conducted with the antenna in horizontal and vertical polarizations.
