About Battery Saving This is a standard function. To increase the battery life ( decrease battery consumption ) .Radio has battery saving mode. Battery saving mode will start after 10 seconds from the busy condition off.

Installation/Removal of the Battery
1. Installation of the Battery Please make sure the radio is powered off, and then place the battery into the corresponding position according to the grooves on both sides of the aluminum housing. Please make sure the battery is stuck in the corresponding groove and push the battery up hard from the bottom until you hear a click. Note: If the battery is not fixed well, please remove it and reinstall.

Operation Guide
Transmitting Range The talk range depends on the environmental and terrain. It will reach (up to about 5km) in wide open spaces, without obstructions such as hills or buildings. Don't try to use two units which are less than 1.5m (5 feet) apart. If you do, you may experience interference.
Power On/Off Rotate the Power knob clockwise until a "ka-ta" sound is heard to turn on the power. Counter clockwise to turn off.
Volume Adjustment Turn the volume knob clockwise to increase the volume, or turn clockwise to decrease it.
Channel Adjustment Channel knob clockwise to increase the channel number, or counterclockwise to decrease it.
Monitoring Short click the monitor button it can directly monitor the channel you are without having to wait for their call you.
Voice Operated Transmission ( VOX ) VOX is the optional microphone set. Keep pressing monitor button untill the voice tell you VOX funtion is ON or OFF, VOX ON is a voice wake-up function that requires no key operation.

Receiving Release PTT key, radio enter into the receiving mode, also during receiving, the indicator lights turns green. Please adjust the volume appropriately to achieve the best listening effect.
Scanning Press scan button, it will scan all the channels one by one in order. When the function is activated, the radio will detect When the function is activated, the radio will detect whether there are signals on these channels. If detect signals, it will stop at this channel to receive signals till signals ends, then start scan again.
High/ Low Power Selectable Keep pressing scan button till the voice tell you the radio is high power or Low power. If the voice tell you the radio is high power, but you would like low power, keep pressing the scan button to switch. High power is 2 watt. Low power is 0.5 watt.
Low Battery Warning When the capacity down to around 10%, low battery warning happens at that time. Then the battery needs to be charged.

One Key Frequency Matching 1. Take off the antenna of "Sub-machine", keep pressing the MONI key and turn on the power button at the same time. Then the device will then flash green at a frequency of 0.5s, and enter the `One Click Frequency Matching Mode'. 2. If the interoperable intercom (Mother) is within 10 cm of the `Sub-machine' , press and hold the launch button. After the frequency is successful, the green light of the `Sub-machine' will be steady on, the channel number will be reported, and you can talk to each other. 3. Switch to another channel, perform Step 2, shut down and restart, and the switchover is complete.
PSIf failed to step 2, switching channel and try again.
Replication Mode 1. `Sub-machine' take off the antenna, hold down the SCAN key and turn on the power button at the same time. Then the device will flash green at 1s frequency, and enter the `Replication Mode'. 2. Repeat Step 1 for other machines to be replicated. 3. The `Mother' does not need to remove the antenna, follow the step 1 operation, within 10 cm of the `Sub-machine', press the PTT button, the red indicator is on, and start to wireless copy the channel information. 4. The green indicator light of other copied machines is steady on. After receiving the signal, the machine will automatically shut down and the replication is complete.
PS: Only machines of the same model can be copied.

Time Out Timer TOT is the optional function set by programmer. If TOT is available, transmission time ( hold the PTT button ) will be limited on certain period of time. The TOT time setting is optional. TOT is useful for preventing from the thermal damage when Transceiver is under long time transmission.
Additional Function
(Write Frequency Software Function)
Scan Scan is the optional function set by programmer. If scan function is available, radio can stop the any of channel which are busy.
CTCSS / CDCSS CTCSS can be set by programmer. If equipped with CTCSS or DCS, your group can not listen other group conversation. This function is useful to listen the voice within the group even other group are using same channel.
VOX (Voice Operated Transmission) There are 9 levels sensitive for choise through by programmer.

FCC Warning Statement
Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment. This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: -- Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. -- Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. --Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. -- Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help. This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following. two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

SAR statement

This device meets the government's requirements for exposure to radio waves. This device is designed and manufactured not to exceed the emission limits for exposure to radio frequency (RF) energy set by the Federal Communications Commission of the U.S. Government. The SAR limit set by the FCC is 1.6W/Kg. For body-worn operation, this device has been tested and meets
the FCC RF exposure guidelines for use with an accessory that
contains no metal and positions the device a minimum of 0mm from the body. RF exposure compliance with any body-worn accessory that contains metal was not tested and certified. And use of such body-worn accessory should be avoided. Accessory available in market and must be used to keep use distance 0mm from EUT to body-worn operation.

To ensure that your exposure to RF electromagnetic energy is within the FCC allowable limits for general population use,

always adhere to the following

CAUTION

CAUTION guidelines:

DO NOT operate the radio without a proper

antenna attached, as this may damage the radio and may also cause you to exceed FCC RF RF exposure limits. A porper antenna is the antenna supplied with this radio by

the manufacture or an antenna specifically authorized by the

manufacturer for use with this radio.
DO NOT transmit for more than 50% of total radio use
time " 50% duty cycle'. Transmitting more than 50% of the time can cause FCC RF exposure compliance reqirements to be exceeded. The radio is transmitting when the TX indicator lights red. You can cause the radio to transmit by pressing the "PTT" switch or " Group" button.
ALWAYS use KETELESE authoried accessories ( antennas,
batteries, belt clips, speaker/mics, etc). Use of unauthoried accessories can cause the FCC RF
exposure compliance reqirements to be exceeded. Body-worn operations are restriced to belt-clips, holsters or similar accessories that have no metallic component in the assembly and that provide at least 1.5 cm separation between the
device , including its antenna, and the user's body. To provide the recipients of your transmission the best sound quality, hold the antenna at least 5 cm ( 2 incches) from mouth, and slightly off to one side. The information listed above provides the user with the information needed to make him or her awareof RF exposure, and what to do to assure that this radio operates within the FCC RF exposure limits of this radio.
